He can't catch a break with a decent club

Yeah! He's a good player, I'm glad he's finally been given a real chance. Not sure if he would have got this transfer if he was any other nationality, but I think he deserves it. Although I guess you can make the argument that if he was a different nationality he wouldn't have been a journeyman for the past several years.

You know my comparison for Bradley? He's kind of like a homeless man's Yaya Toure. Same kind of game, although Bradley isn't very big.

lots of transfers in, increasing the back-up quality and depth of the squad ... keeping Benatia will be crucial ... or else the deal will have to include mega bucks and a replacement too ... Ljajić is supposedly going to be sold to the highest bidder, since he's already been "replaced" ... wonder if Man Yoo want him back? or Fiorentina? Cuadrado swaps? :p

potential weak links are clearly marked out ... Vlaar and Yedlin are still only strongly rumoured potential transfers, but they would go some way to alleviating the concern to an extent; I've included them to provide perspective in those areas ...

but if Roma have any sense, their next move will be to pay ca$h for Scuffet ...

Roma very unlucky yesterday, coz the team played really well in both halves ...

Destro should have scored, even if one accounts for the unbelievable bounce on what should have been a sweet lobbed opener ...

Romagnoli looks nazionale level, and I love that he wears #11 despite being a CB ...

Salih Uçan, like Verratti, likes to play with fire when in possession of the ball -- which is obviously awesome to watch ... so it was a real shame that his final pass/shot was generally hesitant; he'll be a damn good player when he improves his composure and decision-making, especially in the final third ...

so, Benatia out for a surprisingly low €26M plus 4 ... Manolas in for exactly half: €13M plus 2 ... he'll probably partner Astori as the first choice CB pairing, though it must be said that Castán was excellent alongside Benatia last season ...

apparently Marko Baša is also going to be brought in to provide depth, allowing young Alessio Romagnoli to go to Sampdoria on loan ... I'm not a big fan of the idea, but I can see why Garcià is opting for experience over youth in a potential Scudetto season ... Champions League quarters isn't out of reach either ...

Benatia is very good, but he's no Thiago Silva; he can be replaced ... Manolas had an excellent season and World Cup, so there's no reason not to be optimistic about him from a Roman perspective ...

after all the talk about a €37M deal, Roma somehow agree to a fee of €26M plus €4M in bonuses? :confused2:

As a fan of Bayern Munich, I'm deeply touched that he would act that way.
