How can you upgrade the attributes for certain players?

I am not looking to cheat and abuse the use of attributes, I just want to edit certain players who have exceeded expectations throughout the year that fifa 09 has been out. I know that you can remove points and redistribute them, but I am looking to add MORE attribute points to the player. Thanks.
