So fellas, after almost 4 full years away from competitive football, I am coming back into it with my new team we play in the Hampton Roads (virginia, USA) premier leage, so named...anyway, I will be coming in here to keep you all updated in the progress, the Village Idiots (the name of my teams) and myself make...I predict that my firts 3 games are going to be a struggle...but I expect to gain my form back after a few games........anway, I will keep you all updated, to be honest I dont even know if I will start, cause when we played our first practice, my footwork was lacking, my footspeed mostly wasnt there and my stamina was way down, all signs that I have been away from the field for WAY TOO LONG!! I mean I have played but not competitive....

So stand by, for the 2007 Village Idiots season, as I update you all on my career progression...Wish me luck!

Alright today had a game and it went something like this

    Village Idiots 3 (0) vs Celtic FC 5 (3)

So, I started at LB and after a few initial brushes with greatness, my form started taking toll on me, I think i ran forward to support my LM a little too much within the first 20 minutes considering my bad physical shape, and I paid for it, I got burned in one pass behind my back and the ensuing center hit the hand of my CB, it was a bad call, it was an inadvertent hand, close to the body, but they called the penalty, 1-0

The two other goals they scored in the first half, came after dubious offside lookalike, at least one of them they should have been called but we suffer, one of them came from the left, needless to say I wanst pleased.... with 15 mins to go in the half I subbed out (unlimited subs btw)

    SECOND HALF

I Started in the bench, we went to a 3-5-2 needing to score, needless to say throoughout the game we hit at least 6 post, we were extremely unlucky and truth be said we were by far the better team...15 mins into the half I came in back into LB and we scored shortly after that, then came #2 for us and we are back in business........but here is where things get real real gay....

This speedy little dude, taking advantage of my poor shape runs a ball our wide to the left, but I managed to catch up and shadow the center, he fake twice and on the third time launch a rocket that went straight to my stomach, i thought I managed to block it while I gasped for air....but no, the dang ball skimpered its happy little way towards the near post, and snuck in by my very fat keeper who couldnt catch up....4-2

the final goal for them was out of a corner and a very nice shot, once again I blame our keeper I came within inches of blocking i off the line, but not much besides that...

we scored again and came close to at least a tie in many occassion. Bad call, bad luck and some out of shape players cost us, in what should have been a win....

next week, I will be away so i wont be playing, but I will keep you updated...

    Our record

    4-0-1
