Hoeness on the Lahm to Chelsea rumors: "They can offer 100 million and we're not letting him go. He's a cornerstone of our new team."

Lahm cant be sold. he is gaining a lot of experience from the world cup and could prove to be an important figure for us next season.

Bayern's managing director said that money will not pose a problem in the possisble RVN transfer but they wouldn't start negotiating until the WC's over.
The newest rumors suggest ManU won't ask for more than €12M.

I read rumors that ManU is after Klose?
With the world cup he is having i wouldn't be surprised.
Does anyone know what rumors are we supposed to trust as far as Ballack substitute goes?

Our team so far looks demanding:

-------------Kahn
Lahm----Lucio----Brazo
-------Van Buyten

-----Demichelis
Deisler-------Schweinsteinger
------Hargreaves-------

Podolski----RVN*

*= If not Makaay

With the current squad and no real playmaker I'd play a 4-3-3. I posted this line-up a few pages back:

---------------------- Kahn ---------------------

Sagnol --------- Lucio ----- Van Buyten ------- Lahm

---------- Demichelis --------- Hargreaves ---------

------------------ Schweinsteiger=> ----------------

--------------------------------- <=Podolski ----

-------------- Makaay ------- Pizarro ---------

Schweinsteiger warmed the bench most the time last season so he's almost like a new player. I'm looking forward to that new left side Lahm-Schweini-Podolski, it's been fantastic for the nt.

I doubt Lucio's staying, Bayern will let him go for the right price. We've been linked to Aston Villa's Olaf Mellberg. He wouldn't cost much, is a tough defender and is a good back-up to VB and Ismael.

Dos Santos was named MoM today, maybe we just stick with him. The official wc site says the following about him
An old-fashioned playmaker with a good eye for goal.
Sounds good.

Dos Santos MoM in the World Cup, ALRIGHT!!!

I say we can't give up Lucio, we just can't. It's like throwing in the towel, acknowledging that we will never win the Champions League and are content with winning the Bundesliga and nothing else every year. Hell, without Lucio and Kahn one year older, I can see Hamburg and Werder overtaking us.

About Man U looking for Klose, GREAT! Get him out of the Bundesliga, it makes it easier for us.

I hope Ruud won't join Bayern. You are a great club but in recent years you've been treating your legend players like a pile of shiit once they are past their peaks. Effenberg, Elber, and now Makaay.

Absolute DISGRACE.

Hendrik

Team Captain
Do I smell irony in your post? Elber is going to have his farewell game at the Allianz Arena in August, three years after leaving the club. When it was clear that he'd lose his starting spot to Makaay the club let him go for little money and the fans cheered him when he scored the game winning goal for Lyon against Bayern in the CL.
Same with Effenberg. He was past his prime so he was gone when Ballack came in.
Makaay is far away from being a legend, it takes more than three excellent goal-scoring seasons to achieve that.

Bayern 'can afford' Ruud

Bayern Munich have confirmed that they have the financial might to make a bid for Holland striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. In an interview with Munchen TV, Bayern managing director Karl Hopfner said that the transfer of the Manchester United star to the German champions was "very much within our financial limits". According to German press reports, United would be willing to sell van Nistelrooy for around €12 million, after his falling out of favour towards the end of the season. Speculation is rife in the German media that the Bundesliga champions could be about to make the 29-year-old a firm offer after club executive board chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge praised van Nistelrooy in the highest terms last week. Rummenigge was also present at the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion in Stuttgart to watch the striker play, and score, for Holland against Ivory Coast on Friday. The former PSV Eindhoven striker has insisted he expects to return to Old Trafford after the World Cup finals, unless he is told anything different by his employers.

Bayern look to Bojinov

Bayern Munich are interested in Fiorentina striker Valeri Bojinov.

German Double winners Bayern are in the market for a new striker and have been linked with Manchester United's Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Bojinov was a target for the German side during the January transfer window but Fiorentina decided to keep the talented striker and negotiations were ended.

The Bavarian outfit are still interested in the Bulgarian talent and a big money offer could tempt the Viola to cash in.

Bojinov has also been linked with clubs from England, France and, most recently, Hamburg.

Yeah, Elber and Effenberg were at the end of their career when they left here.

That Bojinov rumor.... I've heard that before.

When Lahm would be in the Starting Eleven at Barca, i really hope for the german soccer he will sign there. I also hope some good Club in England/Italia/Spain wants Klose after the WC...

@Voiltac: I think Bayern can pay more than Palermo. But Bayern need a good Playmaker, not a awesome Striker

Bojinov's being linked with Palermo, too. That can't be good, can it?

I don't think it's a bad thing that we happen to be going after a player that a club like Palermo are going after. He's young, there should be a lot of clubs linked to him. But in the end I don't see him at Bayern. We're looking at Ruud right now, not some 20 year old Bulgarian.

Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign Juventus star Adrian Mutu.

The Romanian has enjoyed a new lease of life at the Stadio Delle Alpi, with coach Fabio Capello transforming him into an effective winger.

His displays have not gone unnoticed, with Serie A rivals Fiorentina reportedly planning to step in this summer.

Bayern Munich have now expressed an interest as well, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of their latest assault on the UEFA Champions League.

However, both Fiorentina and Bayern will have to be patient as Juventus wait for the verdict in the Italian match-fixing scandal.

Juve could face relegation to Serie B, in which case they will be looking to offload some of their highest paid stars.

----------------------------------------
Well if we entered the race for Mutu, then the rumours about Van Nistelrooy going to Hamburg might be true. Man Hamburg are stacked.

Hendrik

We're gonna play three striker up front next season, mark my words. Otherwise this wouldn't make any sense.

I wouldn't mind getting Mutu and Camoranesi from Juve, should be realistic targets.

ShiftyPowers

I like Mutu. If he wants to do cocaine in his free time, who are we to stop him? And by the way, I'm 100% serious. Not being sarcastic at all.

Hendrik

Team Captain
Rummenigge has ruled out that any important players would be sold:

"I heard about the Lahm to Chelsea and Lucio to Madrid rumors. I was actually quite amused, do they really believe we're going to sell any of those players? Both have long-term contracts and will stay. End of story."

To which Lahm responded: "I want to stay here and Bayern doesn't want to sell me so that ends all speculations."
