That's rich coming from someone supporting the side which was the laughing stock of Europe until a year ago. :rolleyes:

1. Ballack is a good individual but all his teams actually play better without him - coincidence? Surely not. Everyone's glad he's gone.
2. In all of the past years Hargreaves has always been a sub. It's not like he's the heart of the team or something.
3. Hargreaves is staying.

They will probably raise his wages and give him a guaranteed starting spot. That should keep him happy for the next years.

The official site is also saying that Owen is staying. Magath wants to build around him and he has a center role in Magath's post-Ballack era.

If the decision was up to me I would have sold him. We'll never ever receive a 20 million offer for him again.

Can Uli Hoeness be that f*cking stupid? so what if we don't have alot of players to cover the midfield. With that money we can buy ATLEAST 3 good, great, etc players. Gawd damn it haha :(. I just love how the English like to overpay there English Lads. :rofl:

Owen Hargreaves will make another plea to the Bayern Munich hierarchy today to be allowed to move to Manchester United even though the German club have already turned down three requests from the England international. The fee on offer of £14m is not considered enough by a club who have already lost Michael Ballack this summer.

Bayern would have surely jumped on these kind of offers a few weeks back but now it's different:
1. There are no replacements available at this time of the season => our officials would get lynched by the fans.
2. Our midfield is already depleted and it would be even more of a joke without Owen.
3. He ain't worth that but if ManU paid €28M for Carrick we should not aim for less.

Damn, why couldn't Man United come up with an offer a bit earlier? 20 million for a player that's been a sub for six years is one helluva deal. :(

I don't want in my team players who are not happy to play with Bayern, so Hargreaves can go anywhere he wishes, but we need new players, ther's a hole in midfield and we need almost 2 players in that zone, and with Ismael's injury we need a new defender too.
But I have not still read Uli honess treating new players, it's crazy to me, we have to play Bundesliga and Champions and the team is not so good now......

What is the World coming to Owen is not worth 17 million pounds, id take that and run. Before the World Cup people would question his position in the english side, a few good performances later and he is worth 17 million pounds wow

The Russian Season is a summer league right? I'm sure we could probably get Carvalho if we really were desperate for a replacement. I say just let Poldi/Santa Cruz/Dos Santos/Deisler/Karimi cover it until January and then get a big name.

There's an official press statement on the Bayernl site.

The FC Bayern Munich AG board of directors wishes to release the following statement regarding a number of news stories and public statements in recent days concerning England international Owen Hargreaves:

Bayern Munich has clearly informed its player Owen Hargreaves and his agent that the existing contract employing him at the club until 30 June 2010 will remain in force;

Up to and including today, Bayern Munich has not held negotiations with Manchester United or with any other club. Furthermore, Bayern Munich does not intend entering transfer negotiations regarding Owen Hargreaves;

Bayern Munich has today, Friday 18 August 2006, officially requested Manchester United to cease pursuing its interest in Owen Hargreaves.

"Owen Hargreaves is an important player for FC Bayern Munich. Our plans for the future are based on him and other young international players, so we are not even prepared to talk to any other club about releasing Hargreaves early from his contract," Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge commented.

Well Hoeness was not in Norway to watch Brazil but he went golfing instead. :D Daniel Carvalho scored in his first nt appearence. He wouldn't be cheap either, Moskva recently turned down a €7M offer from Bordeaux asking whether that was supposed to be a joke.

im just stating that he is canadian i have nothing against canadians. i live in toronto myself. but seriously i dont want a player that wants to leave anywhere around the team because he wont play well. owen doesnt want to be at bayern and im sure schweini, desiler,karimi,dos santos, santa cruz and podolski can hold on untill january 31st
