Yeah i know, Bayern build his "bad guys" reputation on 70s and started his tradition of signing player from emergent German teams after the 3 European Cups. They were really a hated club in Germany back then.

Pep: Bayern have had legends such as Beckenbauer, Gerd Muller, Hoeness and Rummenigge. For me Lahm is at the same level as those legends. Lahm is the only right-back in the world who can dominate play from his position.

I didn't watch the others to compare but Lahm managed to be one of the best players on the pitch going on 10 years now. He did it playing multiple positions under different managers and tactics. Most importantly, he was never physically gifted and played at an age when players are at the highest physical peak they have ever been. He played a position that, for most of his playing career, was up against the best players in the world as well as the fastest. Dude won a bunch of titles and, most importantly, consistently performed against the best sides in international club and national football.

I have no doubts that he will get totally outdone by many players in the next few years but I think he's earned that level of recognition.

But Lahm is so inteligent he can move to midfield when the physique doesnt let him play as fullback. Kind of Giggs.

I think saying Lahm "dominated games" is a pretty hilarious exaggeration. Yeah, he's positionally very good, but give me a break. Lahm never makes mistakes, but he never really makes anything happen either. And that's not a knock on Lahm, he's a great player, but the man is not exactly contributing a ton offensively, and for Bayern that's like 70% of most games.

I don't understand why I have to read this bullshit every month. Unless Madrid come close to a record fee, they aren't going to get Lewandowski, and the rumor is that in addition to whatever enormous fee it would take, they're going to double his salary.

All this, and Bayern would probably just turn around and buy Morata at a discount to replace him. It seems like such a stupid move that doesn't make any sense to me.
