Bossa Nova. I'm new to this genre of music.

Anyone familiar with Bossa Nova? would appreciate some suggestions
Feel like it's time to listen to other kinds of music, like Big Band Jazz and the Blues.

if you want to start with some album, you may consider getting one of the following classics:

- "getz/gilberto", stan getz & joão gilberto featuring antônio carlos jobim;
- "the composer of desafinado plays", antônio carlos jobim;
- "elis & tom", elis regina and antônio carlos jobim;
- "herp albert present sergio mendes & brazil '66"; sergio mendes.

some of them are more into samba (which is the "root" of bossa nova), others into jazz.

Was that the one emmer? It was also in austin powers.

i know nike used quincy jones' "soul bossa nova" for one of their ads (the one in the airport i think). i don't remember any beach soccer ad :$
