Buying Fifa 2006 Only If...

Speaking of firing everyone, what ever happened to the group of guys who made FIFA98? I mean, they had imagination and created a real nice game given the limited technological resources of the time. Heck, where are the people who made FIFA-WC- 2002. That game had passion (awesome celebrations and atmosphere).

Yeah ... When you think about it, making all these wishlists (even tough most of them are absurb anyway) is just a big waste of time! EA's fifa development team truly screams lack of passion, wich is a damn shame really! Someone wrote in another thread that they remove all the features so they can implant them 3 years later, unknowing that the fans see through the sham. If something great dosn't hapen to the 2006 version, i won't even bather to download it anymore ..

The worst thing about it is that no one in the industry (on the media side) is willing to bring it up. I mean sure, they write about the game needing better commentating or other small gameplay issues, but overall no one calls it like it is. This is a multibillion-dollar industry here; somebody in the media should be more critical of those imaginational challenged guys at EA Canada.
Crap, a lot of you guys come up with tons of awesome ideas for the game everyday, why can’t they?
Actually they don’t even have to come up with ideas at all. All they have to do is let fans tell them what they want to see in the game. Aren’t they supposed to be reading these forums for customer feedback? I heard (actually read) the FIFA Producer once say that EA pays attention to the insight gained through forums. And he actually named Soccergaming.com. So what the heck then, what is the freaking problem?
What part about “you guys suck and need to be more creative and passionate” do they not understand?

Who says all of us are buying it? We are not getting it! Not until they put all the stuff we want in the game. Things like, EMOTION, Sub Animations, S. American Teams (COLOMBIA, PERU, ECUADOR etc), Cup ceremony celebrations, a real editing option (like W11 where you can manipulate pixels to create your own logos etc).
Anyway, EA knows exactly what we all want.

I'd be happy with FIFA if they added more atmosphere to the game, added similar gameplay to Winning Eleven 8, and when playing a "quick match" or whatever the hell it's called don't just let us choose from the starting eleven and bench that are default picked. I don't want to have to go into the settings and change the bench whenever I want to play with new players. Have an option where you can arange the starting eleven, bench, and reserves quickly. Apart from that they should just copy Winning Eleven...

Seriously, we need good editing tools (just copy what W11 has), not the crap we got in FIFA 2005!
