To me, on a personal level, one of the biggest disappointments when I popped in my FIFA 2005 for the first time, was the realization that Argentina’s kit looked like a darn t-shirt, not a soccer jersey worn by one of the most historic teams in the world (the jersey Maradona took to glory).

And they couldn’t even get the number of stripes right, or included the flag on the upper left (they don’t need a freaking license to display a nations flag!!!!!!!!!!).

*more faces and attributes like the reality...

Buying FIFA06 if:
(suggestions for improvement...)

- "Create a Tournament" is more flexible. Say I wanted to do something like the UEFA cup. 32 teams is boring.

- More national teams from Africa / Asia / Oceania.

- More club sides from around the world. Replace Belgian league with Argentinian league and put Anderlecht in RoW. THERE ARE NO AFRICAN / OCEANIAN CLUB SIDES!!! Put them in.

- Make tournament finals at a neutral venue. The "home" team always seems to have the bulk of fans.

- When the away team scores I want to HEAR their fans.

- When a Spanish / Italian team scores the fans' reactions are very different to that of an English or German team. A nice big loud "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL" for the Spanish fans please.

- Bring back snow. That used to be so much fun.

- Allow fouls on the keeper. Also book the keeper and give free-kicks for time-wasting.

- Make it possible to make illegal back-passes to the keeper and give indirect free-kicks accordingly.

- Make more players join the attack - My team has two players who score all the goals, barring the odd set-piece.

- Make the defending team less standoffish. There is too much counter-attacking.

- Make referee and linesmen visible in the game.

- I want to know when subs take place. Animations would be nice but just a little caption would do. With the commentary switched off I have no idea.

- Replace John Motson or at least give him a few more lines. Definately replace Ally McCoist.

- Allow editing / creation of teams and players.

- In the PGA game you allowed course creation. Why not stadium creation? Use your bloody imaginations!!!

- Why do the "star" players do the same celebration every time? When Ronaldo scores a late consolation goal he still goes on like he's won the flippin' champions league.

- Make the crowd sizes more realistic. When I play Cheltenham vs Kidderminster at the Nou Camp I get a capacity crowd!?!

- I don't think for a second that any of these suggestions will be implemented.

I doubt it very much PAFC , as EA are not really into making the gameplay more realistic.

But if you have any more tips on how to make the stadiums look even more realistic than they already do .... ;)

Unfortunately you are right about EA not implementing any of the great ideas you and the rest of us post. The only way we could get lucky is if some Big EA executive stumbled into this site and read all of it... fat chance though, he is probably too rich to care and too busy spending all the money he makes from idiots like us who keep buying the game no matter how much it sucks.
No sense in telling you guys to stop buying the game, someone will replace those who switch to W11 or any other game that comes our way... EA is a huge money making machine and it would take a whole lot for them to change their philosophy...

FIFA feels very arcadey when compared to W11 (some people might like that though). I don't, not after playing W11 for the first time. The only down side to W11 is the gameplay graphics, no HD available. Still, the amount of gameplay feedom W11 has (as long as you learn the game well; it takes a few months) blows FIFA away.

So, I am buying FIFA 2006 only if they include more gameplay options so that the game becomes a true soccer simulator.

We all want it back, yet EA still doesn’t give it to us. Maybe next year…NOT!

If I was Argentinean I would boycott EA... what an insult to that great soccer nation...

I'm buying FIFA 2006 if EA includes the Argentinean league with all the licenses... hey they can aford it...:rockman:
