Champions League in FIFA07

This may be a stupid question, but why is there no group standings for the CL in FIFA07? All it shows is the round # and the fixtures. Gets kind of confusing and annoying running through 10 pages of fixtures, plus its hard to keep track of the other groups. I am using the CEP too if that matters.

I don't have a CEP install to try, but in the base game all you have to do is go into Statistics from the manager menu and then choose ECC Group Stage (rather than ECC).

Im currently in the 3rd round (which i assume is 3rd qualifying round). Now Im still a bit unfamiliar with the entire format, but isnt the 3rd round a knockout stage against 1 team with 2 matches? In my game here, I've been playing against 3 other teams for 2 matches.

I must just be unclear.. perhaps the next round is the group stage, because Im not seeing group stage on the stats menu.

With the default database there is no third round. There are five rounds after the group stages, which are round 1, round 2, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. The knock-out round before the group stages is described as the qualifying round.

It sounds as if the CEP has broken the internal representation of the competition in such a way as to lose the group stage menu item but without access to a CEP database there isn't really anything more I can tell you.
