Tuned in at the 20th minute mark and figured we were screwed but that's a pretty great goal. Not a good situation though as we need one more just to force ET and hence give PSG 30m to get an away goal. If I had to bet I'd say PSG win this but I have some faith in Guus still.

Absolutely right. The only thing we did well was harry them physically, but PSG are a team that can take that, man for man they were much better and deserved to win and it's very depressing....

I don't think Di Maria will ever step near the EPL again, we hit him hard in that game and you could tell he hated it and was thinking 'the best decision I ever made was getting out of that shitty league'

That 11 is impossible. I wouldn't be against it but I just can't see us getting an entirely new midfield plus Bonucci (why Bonucci? Get someone younger) and Di Maria (who has already failed in this league and is unlikely to return). Azpi out of an 11 that features Cahill is ridiculous too.

Though I love the man, I think Mou's transfer decisions have set us back in the path to build a new squad. We lost Mata, KDB and Lukaku and brought in guys like Pedro and Cesc who are not going to be effective in 2-3 seasons, IMO. Considering that we won't even be in the CL next year, we really need to consider cashing in on a few guys on their last legs and use this and next year to establish a young core.

I'd be up for selling a lot of the players who let us down this season whilst they still have value - definitely Fabregas, Pedro too, and like I've said before I would sell Hazard if a huge offer came in. I do still have hopes for Matic. We must have some money in the bank anyway and if we could get 100m for those three, we should have the cash for a serious rebuilding project which I think we need.

Of the current squad the only players I really want to keep for the long term are Courtois, Azpi, Zouma, Willian, Matic, Oscar, Costa and I guess Baba and Traore though the jury is still out on them. Also I am finally starting to appreciate Mikel a bit more

So, what now? Are Chelsea going to bite the bullet and let Kenedy, Traore, RLC, and Baba take over? Somehow I doubt it and I can see us waste minutes on Pedro.

Well I don't much rate RLC and I don't think we want to risk pissing Costa off by dropping him, and Kennedy and baba play the same position. I would play those who i think form part of the future of Chelsea such as Oscar and Matic starting and sure kenedy and baba continue to share lb duties.

Pedro starting both these key games was a bad decision imo
