Championship Manager 97/98 Data Updates/new commentary files?

I think the subject says it all really. I want to get back into my championship manager again.......bought it from somebody on ebay (been looking for a good few years) Just hoping somebody can maybe give me ideas of where to get as recent as you will get updates?

wow....I don't know where that could be...I'd give you mine but that's on another hard drive that's so scrambled....Who knows...

Cmsorted use to be a good place. I doubt anybody plays with 97/98 anymore. which is too bad

Had a look at CMsorted. Changed to FM Sorted so outta luck there.......found a update yesterday of sorts but as soon as it tried to load team data the game crashed :( I'll get there with something eventually gotta keep looking I guess.

Try this webpage, the download seems to be working, though I can't tell if the update is working properly (and it says it was last updated in 2002...). I believe you need the official patch 2.93 to use it correctly. (which you can find here)

I used to have Sami's update, though I can't remember when I stopped using it. His website is dead though, and I don't have a backup of the file.

Are you joking me? CM9798 is the greatest CM of them all!! I for one play it all the time, the new ones are just too complicated. What other management game can you finish a season in about 3 hours. Magnificent.

Very true glen, but what other management game used to take about 3 hours processing between seasons eh :p

great game though, still load it up every so often. Stef Hendriks for the win.
