Changes In DB Files Dosen't Work

hey guys i got a problem and need some help.

a big thanks to Rinaldo for the tools that i used for years now :)
i downloaded the DB Master File Master and the Creation Master 15 to test some things.
Every year i did the same but this time its a bit different and maybe one of you guys know why :)

1st i extracted the db Files with the File master

2nd i opened the db Files with the DB Master and changed the playerboot from 0 to 1 (because i even want the hidden boots ;) )

3rd i downloaded the FHL BH editor from Bernd (thanks to you too) and tried to regenerate it.

... but i cant see the changes ingame its like i did nothing. I have to say that i dont really know how to use the FHL BH Editor. I just unmark the db files and pressed regenerated all BH files ( take care of extern files )

i hope you understand this because im german :)

You do not need to regenerate when editing the db files.

You cannot have any squad save files in your docs folder or the game will read from that db and not your edited db. You can either delete your squad save files or you can reset rosters in-game.

but when i dont regenerate how the game knows that it needs to read the exported db files?
When i want to activate the boots with the Creation Master 15 the game crashes when i want to edit players or my Virtual Pro

Regenerating the db is not necessary, that's just the way it is.

CM 15 is still in beta testing so if it crashes, post your problems in the CM 15 bugs thread. I use DBM to edit the db and I have had no problems. I have edited the db dozens of times - faces, hair, names - and all my edits work. I suggest you use DBM to edit.

Also, do not use a pre-edited db like moddingway's, you will have editing issues. Use the original db files.

i extracted it from the original file. When it works for you what is the difference between my way and yours? please explain it.

I use DBM 14. I export the files into a folder. I edit the files using Microsoft Excel. I import the edited files back into the db and save.

That's it.

BTW, I never edit in the DBM tool directly, it is bugged and sometimes your edits will not stick. I always export the files and then edit in Excel, that way the edits always stick.

I am thinking you do not have the regenerated files to use with the db. Try these files that Fidel posted and even try editing with CM 15, it may work for you. Otherwise as I said, I use DBM 14 to export/import the files.

Hello to everyone,
you can download the manually regenerated data_startup.bh for the db here:

not tested, try and let me know!
I will try this afternoon!
Bye

Sounds like you don't have a lot of editing experience. You need to start with a clean install, original db, and then use CM 15 to edit ONE small thing, one player's name or speed rating or something. And you don't edit anything else until you figure things out and are able to see your edit in-game. That's how you learn to properly edit, one step at a time.

So instead of doing what I suggested, you spammed rinaldo's CM 15 bug report thread with your questions, which regularcat asked people several times not to do. Another entitled poster who breaks forum rules because he's too lazy to take the time to learn how to edit. FYI, I tried rinaldo's CM 15 last night for the first time and it works perfectly, no issues editing whatsoever.
