Possibly, I don't think it's been confirmed. I really liked him in the Euro and FM09. He's never played in a team as big as this one, but if it's true I'm glad we didn't just get him a fter a good tournie, but that we scouted him for another season. Hopefully he'll do well if it's true.

We don't have proper cover for Cole, although I see what you mean. Malouda is playing well too, so he'd probably rotate with them or something.

We deservedly win the final, and it should've been 3-0 when you think about it, but that's footie for you. Well done Lamps for doing what he always does and scoring when we're asleep. Not our best match, but it's good to win and it's great to give Guus a trophy to go out with.

Congrats guys! I saw the match, you fully deserved it. I think Everton's goal was offside btw...

Hey guys, I was talking to a friend and brought up a common rant on mine, namely why the hell did Chelsea sack Avram Grant? The guy was runner up in the EPL by 2 points, never lost at Stamford Bridge, and would have won the CL if not for Terry's boner. So why did he leave?

I think he should've stayed, and I've always said that, but for our board, a year without silverware is a failure. I'm also pretty sure he was just a short-term solution. It's interesting though that Guus had been praised for doing even less than him (Guus was praised way before he won the FA). Love them both though, wish Guus would stay.

Grant, did deserve a second bite to the cherry, but its not 100% certain that he would've done better than Scolari. Look at Malouda for example, me and pete were slagging him off since the last season, once Guus came, he went back to being the player he was at Lyon. Thats the type of manager we're looking for, the ones who can connect with players and bring the best out of them. Unfortunately for us Hiddink was only for a short while.

I don't think Grant was the type that could form the bond with the Chelsea boys like Mourinho and Guus. He was a nice chap for coach, and did well but I'm not sure he can handle the egos of certain players like Drogba, Ballack, etc.

Congrats to the boys for winning the FA Cup. Loved the scenes in the end, perfect farewell for Guus.

Good luck guys with Ancelotti, of all English clubs i've got a soft spot for for you cause of Sheva and now you've got Ancelotti there, hopefully he'll do good with you guys.

I don't know why so many like Terry want Ribery. Yeah he's an excellent player but we have Malouda on that left side now who's doing fairly well. We'd have to pay huge money for Ribery to play that same spot. That money could better be spent on the right side of the midfield where we have.....no one. Oh wait there's Belletti >_> A right back.

But I agree with Terry wanting Villa. That wouldn't be a bad transfer at all. I just see the need to add some depth instead of signing several big names again.

I think Ribery's expertise is the right wing, where we play Anelka/Kalou and Cole when he's fit. It's not like we couldn't use a right winger, but I wouldn't spend huge sums on one when we have 3 players who are more than capable of playing there. Hiddink experimented with Drogs there a few times, there might be something there.

Ribery can play either side. He has played on the right for France since before WC 2006.
