To be honest i thought it was bad luck that the ref gave it.He stuck out a foot to tap the ball away and the Rovers player ran across him .One second the guy was not there and then he was.So instead of kicking the ball ,Ricci kicked him on the thigh.It was sort of bouncing around the area,which was full of players and it was not by any means a certain chance for Rovers.In fact I think we would have cleared it anyway.I thought it was a pretty weak decision to give a penalty,but thats how it goes.You win some .....you lose some.
Dunno why Paulo is not playing.I'd rather see him on the right with Terry and Gallas in the middle and Ricci waiting on the bench.

I make obvious posts eh, well I think that it's obvious but some of you guys won't agree, Lampard (the man who would be king) is the best player in the world like Mourinho says. He won't get the recognition he deserves because he's not the fancy kind of player like Ronaldinho. Guys like him, Makelele, and Ballack should get more credit. Anyways, Blackeye Rovers are gonna keep using their goon tactics because they work for them.
A clean sheet would be nice. Something else that would be nice would be if you lads didn't put up a post after every single goal or bad referee decision.

Treble......the thread is a tool for communication between each other.I dont have these guys phone numbers.I cant sit in front of the TV with them and watch the game either.So when a game is on and i aint at the game,i like some feedback to all the positive or negative aspects that a game of football chucks up.And also,there may be some guys who dont have the game on TV or radio,and maybe they would like to know latest scores.Or maybe about something that just happened in the game.
I could join the match thread, but maybe i dont want to.Maybe i want to text/chat here.

Joe cole always scores deflections, not having a go or anything, I am strong believer in score anyway possible, but its getting quite ridiculous, maybe he means to do it :fool:

Anyway, the match:I bloody hate rovers. I didnt see the match, but I am glad Super Frank stuffed em like that, scumbags.
Speaking of Frank, people seem to be running out of superlatives for him. The fact that he is top scorer in England from midfield is mind boggling. Granted, our rivals and their big names (Thierry who?) have been playing crap, but his play has been even better than last season, which is incredible. Again, I havent seen the match yet, but he has been getting better with every game this season. Makes me wonder how I got to criticizing him in the first couple of games.
I am glad to see that Joe scored too. He gets alot of deflection goals, but, and I may take some crap for saying this, but I have rarely seen as much raw talent and craftiness in a player as I do in Joe Cole. His moves have the flair of a south american player, and some of the things I have seen him do with the ball are positively amazing. When he, while playing out of position mind you, flies up the wing to slot a beautiful cross in and then tracks back to double team his mark, my mind is blown at his work rate. If he cut his diving, I think he could challenge for being my favorite player.

I'd like to see him (Cole) take more shots from midfield because he can really score from there. Lookin atthtable, Arsenal, Manchester, Pool, and Newcastle look just as worse as last year and Wigan isn't gonna hang on to that second place spot so...
