This is how I feel about Gallas. I feel the same as my parents when I have done something so incredibly stupid that it doesnt even merit anger. It just merits disappointment. Its as if he wasnt content getting his move away from Chelsea at long last. He just has to go and slag off the club after he leaves. He knows full well how much the supporters loved him, and if he thinks Peter Kenyon stalling on his big contract (which he shouldve got) was endemic of how much Chelsea appreciated him, then he is dead wrong

as for what he said about Jose, f*ck right off. Bridge went down with an injury and Baba had been sold. We have 4 cbs, 3 of which didnt have the practice or experience to be fullbacks. Gallas had both, and he was excellent at it. What the hell does he want? He wanted to be in the team and he was. What loyalty is he talking about? What have we not shown him? Gallas played every frigging week, without fail. This was the guy who mobbed Jose after scoring against Spuds not 5 months ago, talking about our "great team spirit". I guess it was jose that did a 180 on him then, because it couldnt have been the fault of the whiny bastard that has talked about leaving in the press the last 3 summers.

So thats how I feel about Billy. I dont hate him, I just feel betrayed, because he clearly never loved this club. Well, thanks alot for the work, but nobody here is going to miss your gigantic mouth

I still dont think we shouldve sold Huthie, and as for Arseley, Im still convinced his first loyalty is to the paycheck. The fact that we might give up Bridge to accomodate him makes.me.want.to.vomit.

Maybe Chelsea fans are entitled to hear Chelsea's side of the story Tom. Why let the bigmouth <unt go around slagging the club off and not fire something back?

Jose asked the press before Gallas left Chelsea, to ask Billy to hold a press conference to explain himself because Jose was not prepared to enlighten the media. It should be down to Gallas to clear the air, and tell the fans how he really felt.

For a Chelsea player to treat our club, or any player to treat any club, with this level of unprofessional scummy behaviour, deserves to be exposed for the <unt that he is.

To threaten to score an own goal if Jose played him? Uefa need to fine the bastard as an example to other sulking pricks who feel like doing the same thing.

We are entitled to an explanation. As a Liverpool fan, to be honest its none of your business mate. If this was a Liverpool player you would be going mad mate.

In all our history we have NEVER had a player behave like this, and we need to make sure there will never be another.

I'm only joking, was just seeing if someone was going to take the bait.

But I do think Gallas is a scumbag though. **** of the highest order. (Y)

I agree that what he did was probably unique, as far as I know, and if you aint a Blue then I can understand other fans finding it amusing, but this is something that NO player should ever threaten to do. Refuse to play? OK fine, but to threaten to score an own goal or make intentional mistakes to cost Chelsea the points?

Arsenal are welcome to this <unt. He should feel right at home there. I bet David Dein suggested the idea to him, thats how scummy that wanker is.

Tom

That Nice Guy
Pete, thousands of players leave thousands of clubs without saying why. Now, if Gallas had a pop at Chelsea (big style) then i didnt know that, but its just like a kid against a teacher. The teacher doesnt imaturely have a go back, they rise above it.

All the fans knew he was pissed off, why then go and be all childish and tell them that he wanted to score an own-goal, god, talk about trying to raise your profile.

No its about lowering his profile mate. Everyone needs to know when a player stoops this low, whoever he might be and whoever he might play for.

Its pathetic that you non Chelsea people would rather critisize the statement rather than the actions of the player. That is what is classless.

All the fans wanted to know WHY he was not playing. Was it Jose stopping him? Thats what we gleaned. Now we find out the situation that Gallas put our club through. Even refusing to play when we all needed him to play.

He was offered everything he asked for at Chelsea but he decided to go out like this. I dont mind if he wants to move on. In fact until HE started slagging the club off, Chelsea did not say a word about the situation. Gallas wants a row?...Now he's fu<king got one.

I'm listening to the radio here. I'm hearing fans of other clubs saying that if a player from their club threatened to score an own goal if they were asked to play, that they would not want to know that.......Fu<king liars every one of them.

I agree that Gallas was a prick.

But that action by the board is definitely not taking the high road. Why get into a mud-slinging match with a player?

It would make him look so much more classless if the board said something like...

"We wish Gallas all the best in his new endeavours with Arsenal. We regret he could not see fit to agree to the generous contract offer he made. We prefer not to respond to the slanderous and untrue statements he's making."

I mean, I've got nothing against Chelsea and I agree they get the short end of the media stick a lot, but that press release is very bush league.

The fans HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW FFS.

The website is our direct contact to the club. We wanted to know the facts. We demanded the facts from our club in writing. They responded to our demands by issuing the statement. The statement is for US and only US. To be honest we dont give a flying fu<k what anyone else might think.

I shouldn't think it will make much difference to our percieved image will it? Or were the rest of the football world just begginning to love us?.....I dont think so.

Tom....if this was Kewell you would want to know. To say you wouldn't would be an outright lie mate. Otherwise you and anyone else, must be devoid of the passion and love for a club that any fan should have. Its that simple.

It gives people another chance to bash Chelsea so enjoy yourselves. You do not kid me for one minute.

The great thing about all this is once again Chelsea have made themselves look like fools , fairplay to William for taking on the "Enemy Of Football".

it's totally hilarous :fool: from an outsiders POV.

one big sandbox with little Jose, little Kenyon, little Gallas all in their diapers throwing lies, sh*t and sand at each other assisted by the PR people and backed by lawyers.

Exactly what I meant when I said that Gallas and Arsenal are suited to and deserve each other. A <unt player to a <unts club. :ewan:
