I almost fell asleep during the second half and again in ET. I didn't find the match exciting at all until penalties, which is excitement that reflects on the tension of the situation, not on the teams' league of origin.

The All English Final turned out to be the All English Farce. Thanks for showcasing our league as one of pettiness and dissent and disrespect.

Alright so I watched it, but switching between the better things on TV- The Apprentice- and this final I only saw an average first half, none of the second and then the pathetic handbags incident.

I was neutral for all of it, because I didn't know who I wanted to see cry the most. In the end both Terry and Ronaldo bawled, so yay. Congrats Mancs, hopefully it takes them abother 9 years or more to win number 4.

btw it was not a very good football match I would hope you dont showcase this match as an example of EPL football cause then it would be kind of sucky....but anyway, the game was tense and emotional that is undeniable, but apart from a few isolated moments it was cagey and not very well played...either way it was good entretaintment

I just want to congratulate MU. They deserved it, same as Chelsea. We just were unlucky cause of that Terry's penalty. I'm fed up, I'm going to sleep now.

Three more things:

1) I strongly prefer the team receiving the trophy on the field where everybody can see them. Receiving the trophy in the stands just seems weird and makes for a poor shot.

2) Cristiano is such a bitch. Of course he cries in the middle of the field instead of celebrating with his teammates.

3) I feel crushed for Terry and Chelsea. They lost because of a simple loss of footing.

The penalty shootout was absolutely nerve wrecking, i've never been this nervous watching a shootout before.

I enjoyed the game...not THE most entertaining game out there but you'd be an idiot to expect otherwise...of course both teams will be very cautious...there were some very exciting chances and in the end it was really as close as one penalty shot.

Also, I honestly hope that Terry gets to lift the trophy one day. The man definitely deserves it.

Agreed! I felt the same. I couldn't believe that I was falling asleep at times during the 2nd half. Once it went to extra-time, I just had a strong feeling that it would be penalties to decide it. Infact, other than the 20 minutes following Ronaldo's goal, I too found it very cagey.

Having said that, it was to be expected (to some extent) in a final. ManU won't care.

Ronaldo's penalty runup is absolutely horrible.....

Well, it was almost like he was drawing attention to himself....like as though it(their victory) was all about him(despite his missed penalty). Anyways, that's just water under the bridge now.
