I really don't find anything wrong with Chelsea's style of play, to be honest. They just do what they have to do to win, that's all. I hate the fuckers for other reasons.

Truly amazing stat about JT Rob posted. Hes already so damn good, arguably the best defender in the world (his record with Gallas attests to this) and i have every reason to believe he will finish as one of the all time chelsea legends

what I asked before: If Collina has disallowed you're 4th goal and you had been eliminated, wouldn't you think that you had wasted the game in Nou Camp with your defensive style? maybe you could had scored more goals if you had attacked?

Point well taken, but the fact is, our situation, having to play so crap, disjointed, back on our heels, was born out of reworking our attack. It wasnt pretty at all, no, but it was the best we could scrape up in the circumstances. If we had gone all out, and attacked you like Norwich City at the weekend, we would have gotten absoltely humiliated in the first leg, even with our defense.

and whats this about chelsea the better team, or even a good team at all?? chelsea have destroyed football and what it should stand for by assembling a team based on money and gathering as many big names as possible with just greenbacks. same goes for madrid. if you need that much money to come up with a team that dosent win every single game 4-0 then its just not worth it.

And then theres this. I cant count the number of times ive read jealous crap like this. If the Arse was facing bankruptcy, a firesale, and relegation, would any of you say no to billions, financial security, and the best players from an owner that vowed to adhere to the clubs roots? Think about it for a few seconds. Thats right, because I too would rather have a team competing against Barcelona than Millwall. You dont spend money? You dont try to dominate games? You bought a swarth of good, young players years ago, and they matured together, and became dominant. Yet when someone else does the same thing, faster, and with a higher pricetag, theyre ruining the game? That laughable. I dont hate the Arse, I just hate flawed logic and the selective blindness of a few of their fans, and their manager.

Chelsea seems so complete. Solid defense, great attack, Mourinho was f*cking smart to keep Duff, he has been instrumental this season. Attack not working, or need to defend to hold off an offensive minded opponent like Barca? Use your set pieces to score that winning goal.

Props Blues.

And I see all the 'Chelsea are ruining football' ranters are back again. If only they could think, if only they could think.

Bah, some people. They only come out when we win :kader:

A few more things. Eto'o must know how crazy he sounds to call Collina an awful ref. Everyone knows hes one of the best, and if things didnt pan out, its no reason to pick a fight with the reffing when there was no visible bias or problem. Recall that the penalty that sparked Barca's rally was a dodgy decision at best, so that could be a goal he practically gifted you.
Secondly, nobody is saying this win makes Barca better than Chelsea, or England better than Spain, or Defending better than attacking, or whatever. If both teams faced eachother, full strength, who knows what it would prove. Im just glad Chelsea did the job, and did england proud. At the end of the day, things broke the way of the Blues, and thats all one can ask for

Gil, check your PM.

Dissapointed to see Barca out, looks like Rafa's absence was felt in some way. Either way, I'm surprised Chelsea got off to such a fast start. Well, I guess Barca can now concentrate on not letting Real catch them in the league. :p

Yeah, Chelsea could be the only english club to be in the quarters, anyway i reckon if Milan get knocked out in the quarters which is not very likely to happen, Lyon will win it, they are the dark horse, they are in the same position as Porto last year.

Barcelona players fume at Chelsea taunts

Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard and his players were left bitter and angry at the end of last night's Champions League elimination by Chelsea.

Barcelona's Dutch coach reacted angrily after being taunted by Chelsea's Portuguese scout Andre Villas.

And angry Barca star Samuel Eto'o fumed: "One of their stewards called me a monkey."

Rijkaard was pulled away by heavy-handed stewards before Barca superstars Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Carlos Puyol all waded into the fray.

Cameroon striker Eto'o claimed he had been racially abused by a steward while Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and owner Roman Abramovich were pelted with plastic bottles by Barca fans after the game.

Rijkaard raged: "I am always bitter when I lose and tonight I am even more bitter because of all the lies they told before this game and the things they created.

"Some guy came forward and insulted our bench and I don't want to say what I think of him. I wanted to win this game even more than usual because of all the stuff surrounding the build-up.

"So it hurts me even more to be leaving after this defeat. I am just glad nothing serious happened."

Villas sparked the brawl when he appeared to blow kisses at Rijkaard after the final whistle.

================================

Should've pelted Villas with glass bottles. :f***:

I dont think this is ever going to end. He said she said after the match, and nobody is innocent. If thats really what happened, is it implied that by Puyol, Ronnie, and Eto'o going into "the fray" that Rijkaard was attempting to get physical with Villas and was restrained? Or did Eto'o get hot over the supposed racism, and had to be held back? And what in gods name were Roman and Jose doing on the pitch (i assume thats where they got pelted) with Barca fans still there? This is perhaps worst of all.

I am always bitter when I lose and tonight I am even more bitter because of all the lies they told before this game and the things they created.

What in gods name is this? They complained to fifa yes, so Jose may have lied, who will ever know for sure? But what the hell did Chelsea create before this game? Virtually everyone on Barca's roster sounded off about how they were gonna win the game, how they were scared of the game, how Chelsea were total crap, etc. Then again, he probably didnt even say all this: the demonic press probably just stirred the pot for fun

Edit: exactly surfy, the last match's crap hasnt even been sorted out, and this is already coming up. What a mess :kader:

Behold: Sky's version of his words are different Link
Ugh, some press are just scum
