Classic Patch classic all time DB

Youth Team
Hi, as a fan and admirer of GIGGI´s work, i couldn´t help but notice the inability to play matches between teams of different decades (ex. Brazil 70 vs brazil 02).
For that reason, i wanted to post this thread so that we can discuss how to make a singular DB that adds the best of the best, what fictional tournaments could be made based on this idea, and what group of teams should make the cut.
I think that, since all of the components are already created, this project is simpler to make than new teams or kits.

Youth Team
Personally, i was thinking of:
-All WC champions present in the patch
-All Euro champions
-All confederations cup champions
-WC icons (teams that didn´t win it but are remember like Netherlands 74 or Hungary 54)
-UEFA icons
-African icons
-Asian icons
-American icons
-All UCL champions (for cases like Real Madrid winning 5 in a row, i would stick to the 5 year version)
-All UEFA cup/UEL champions.
-All libertadores champions (the 5 year teams that represent them at least).
-Memorable UCL teams
-Memorable south american teams (5 year version).
-Domestic league champions (in cases of dominance, i would stick with the most memorable iterations).
In a way, the idea would be to make a DB reminiscent of the first days of the CP, when all teams could play against each other.

I already intend to do it at the end of the race. I talked about it with ACICOG in the past months, maybe a year ago. My goal would be to make a database with only World Cup teams, another one with only Euro teams. Just another olympics. The problem is that you can't do it while creating something else for the reason that everything is always in motion. I often change player IDs, add and delete faces, then activate and deactivate the various ticks. Changing boots, OVR, sometimes even position. If I have the stadium, I impose it on those national teams. Having that kind of database is counterproductive right now. That would mean more databases to edit and I'm currently working on 20 databases between the ones for the release and the ones I use to create the teams. And it would also mean loss of interest in the main project. I cannot create, or accept that a summary database is created. It would mean death of the main patch. I would also have a decrease in interest for those who create kits towards national leagues. Everyone would go on the resume and I'd work for nothing. This is why it is a project that I have in mind at the end of the race. Taking a recording example... There can't yet be a Greatest Hits... If I put all the hits on one disc my main discography would sell less... No one would want my vinyl (DB 1980)... But I still have the updated NATIONAL TEAM database even if it doesn't work anymore. FROM that database by removing various alloys I can create the aforementioned databases. I also have a database with only single-season teams that I could use for future projects, such as perhaps a single database for Serie A, a database for La Liga or the Premier League. I also had in mind an All Star database to do at the end of the race, at the end of the project. With generic shirts I wanted to recreate the main tournaments with a lot of qualification. A 16-team world championship with lots of qualifiers. I should still have the excel prospectus on how to create the tournament and the participating teams. But they are all things that cannot be created now. It's not yet time to make a Greatest Hits... XD I have to churn out more hits first and then make a vinyl box set like longtime rock bands do XD

That sounds amazing! I see what you´re trying to say, my idea wasn´t to kill to patch with a "greatest hits", but instead offer a way to play more what if matches (i greatly respect the decades format and it´s ability to compile hundreds of tournaments).
I see now that creating one right now would mean the need to update it with every change. Having said that, looking foward to this database and the World Cup DB in the future!

These are all the currently working databases. Primes don't work but they have a rundown on those kinds of teams. As you can see I have:

1 database with single season teams (useful both as a backup and as a basis for other databases. Serie A, Premier, etc.)

2 CLUB databases with only 5 year old teams. When I delete them I will still have a trace on this database (Useful as a backup)

3 databases with only national teams. The non-qualifiers are missing from WC 2002 because they had reached the limit in their time. (Useful as a backup and as a basis for other databases that I mentioned in the previous post)

4 Database with teams 40-50-60-70. This database also contains all players of the patch. I use it to create new teams about that period.

5 Database with teams 80-90-2000 This database also contains all players of the patch. I use it to create new teams about that period.

6 Database with all leagues, teams and players. Master database that I use to have no ID conflicts. Here is the whole patch in terms of IDs.

You already know the other databases. Those are the ones you have too but I don't work directly on those to avoid crashes and problems. Here I import the new teams and test they. This system helps me avoid most crashes. Let's say it's a "nice copy" of the task and the others... the Draft.

As I said in the previous post With this series of databases I can make the so-called Greatest hits. I'm keeping the structure to be able to make them in the future.

I know that many would like to play the "what if" system. But in the long run, as mentioned, it has become increasingly complex and at the limit of feasibility. Now that we are adding the national league teams we find a lot of conflicting IDs because such a player's ID from Turkey 1954 is actually the ID of an OVR 60 with two bundesliga appearances for example. These are the IDs that I modified before the last release and that I communicated to ACICOG for release 16. I await his green light to delete them from a txt. Meanwhile this list is fixed both as a message on Tele.gram and on a txt in my desktop. The more teams I add between 1995 and 2010 the more IDs I will have to change

Soto Pedro 277620 Messico 1978
Eken Bulent 277608 Turchia 1948 / Turchia 1954
Pichler Anton 277603 Austria 1982
Sallai Sandor 277602 Ungheria 1982
Leandro 277588 Brasile 1982
Carlos 277582 Brasile 1982 / Brasile 1986
Provan Davie 277581 Scozia 1982
Geerts Charles 277572 Belgio 1954
Dirimlili Basri 277567 Turchia 1954

Interesting... I want to ask, could it be possible that 2 IDs that are the same coexist in the same database, only crashing when using the respective player? Like i posted in the CP thread weeks ago, Uruguay 2002 is not working for me, and i believe the cause could be on the players IDs...

It is not possible with basic systems. (CM15) With the Db master I think it's feasible but I've never had any interest in trying or crashing the database. However the 2002 uruguay has been the same team for about 10 years. In these 10 years I have never had any problems or complaints about it. If it crashes it could be many things due to the "mechanics of the PC" Probably your PC can't handle the stadium or the accumulation between stadium and texture 1024. This can happen and depend on the video card. Someone crashes the old Wembley stadium as a result every team that has that stadium set up. Unfortunately I can't do anything about it. The patch is based on how it works in my PC. I'm not EA, I can't give guarantees on other hardware combinations. The fact remains that I have never had any problems or reports for Uruguay 2002

Well, I always create a DB of my own after GIGGI's releases using jbou's Classic patch selector.
I extract the decade databases using DB master in respective folders, run the tool and select teams of my choice like all WC teams, all Euro Teams, all club teams from 80s to 00s, if possible some from 50s 60s 70s until the tool allows me to add, and then make a final DB.

Only problem I face is formations. For that also, I generally use the formation fix patch from Giggi.

It generally works. Have not tried this in v4, but it should work. Give it a try for a day. Should not give up after one failure, you should fix yourself as you NOW are the patch creator (for yourself)
