I've tried converting the texture to dds before importing and a few other things but the result is the same. I don't think it has anything to do with the compression because if it did the saved rx3 would probably have a different size comparing to the unedited version and for me, with the kit, at least it has the same size as other kits in the folder that the game loads just fine. It's messed up we can't figure why this is happenning

The procedure is correct.
I made it succesfully last night many times
with kits, banners, adboards and flags!

After importing the new .png on the right block,
I use the "save as" button and choose
the correct path "sceneassets\...".

Then I launch the regenerator and all is well.

I also tried with the Jenkey's loader. Perfect.

Hi Iard68 ...

Well, I did the same process and save as to fresh save file, placed correct regen already done anyway and it crashes.

This is a zip with the original file that works in game, and then in another folder the same file but with my minor edit that crashes game on loadup. test them and see if you get the same.

Hi!

I confirm you that every change on the block 5 causes the game crash.

The problem could be related to transparency of the png format or, more likely,
how the software imports the dx3. All files that I succesfully edited so far are .dx5 or .dx1.

Needs some more test to understand.

Im thinking that it must be the same too and not this mod in some ways, a type of PNG save format with channel as its a red channel layer. Yes "DX3" might be a different baby to get working right in this example ... if anyone can crack it then cool :) I tried to convert to dx5 with convert option and save but I still got a crash, but the steps maybe wrong that i took.

Im trying to fix it becuase the mouth/lips in-game all look like they have black lipstick on, so I was trying to to a basic edit to stop that and put it out for 14 as its a great sweat texture. Maybe this is going a bit off topic from this thread so if its ok please reply if you find anything or maybe take it to PM, thanks in advance, I will dig a bit deeper too.

I've noticed that if you use rx3 master outside of file master, the textures that should be dtx5 are saved as dtx3... fifa 14 kit crests are dtx5 and (if I recall it correctly 13's are dtx3).
Anyways I finally managed to get my problem with the kit's textures solved:
Using file master to export the stuff from the bigs to either the fm temp folder and editing there and then pasting the edited stuff onto the game folders or exporting it directly to the folders and editing

I'm thinking maybe, file explorer isn't really decompressing all the files properly (since it accepts both compressed and uncompressed files) and if you try to edit those files with either rx3 master or file explorer you get that kind of error ingame... This is an educated guess though

I'm having the same problem as Hitchens. I'm trying to alter the home stadium of a club using DBM 14. From a clean install of FIFA 14 I start without a "Origin Games\FIFA 14\Game\data\db" folder, so I open up DBM 14 and click File, Extract from .BIG and then Main Database.

I then click file, Open DB and select the newly created fifa_ng_db-meta.xml from the created DB folder. I then open fifa_ng_db.db from the same location and it opens database.

I edit the home stadium of the teams I want and I save, but then when I open the game no chances have taken effect. I have even tried editing other things and nothing seems to transfer over into the game even though when I open up DBM 14 again all the changes are still there. As I'm doing this from a clean install of FIFA 14 I have no option files or anything in my Documents folder, infact the FIFA 14 folder in my Documents is empty.

What am I missing?

Same as above for me, all im trying to do is change the wembley nets depth. Ive edited the database like others, deleted squad files etc, but still show normal in game with no changes.

Aahhh... I save you!!

The DB was patched by EA.
You can find it both in data0.big that in patch.big,
and better is to decompress and use the second one!

So, in order to view your changes, you have to remove references
from both .bh files.

i68Regenerator make it correctly
if you set green the patch button!!

Many of the stadium values in the db are not editable. You can change those values but they make no difference in-game.

Guys,anyone know when Rinaldo will release CM14,i just wonder :( i just want to be able transfers some classic players,thank you !

Quick question guys, I know the changes you make it DBM 14 only work when there's no squad file in your Documents folder, but does that mean the only way you can have edits is to play without all up to date transfers?

I know it would be technically possible to do the transfers in DBM but I've no idea how you'd find a specific player as they are all listed by their ID and not name.

You could in theory use internal master to read the updated db from a save file... that's how the updates are converted by modders and shared with the community ;)

DBMaster...

Search the player by ID, if you know it...

if not...
first, look for the surname and name in the names table,
you'll find two IDs.
Then search the nameid columns in the player table for these IDs.
you'll got the player ID.

The last step, you'll do in the teamplayerlinks table,
by serching your player ID and assigning the new teamID!!!
