CM09 and Tournaments

I am trying to create some tournaments in CM09. I created my own custom UEFA Champions League 2008/09 successfully.

I tried creating UEFA Cup 2008/09 but the teams I put in the gorup stages were all randomized in FIFA 09. All the teams were there but all randomized. Any idea why this is happening.

Also how can I create Apertura and Clausura tournaments? I think this is not possible if I am correct as you need a linked league and linked tournament to make the leagues to work in Manager mode.

I guess for the mexican Apertura and Clausura tournaments, thjese were hard-coded into the game itself.

Can anyone shed some light here?

Yes it is hard coded in the FIFA 09 exe and it works only for the mexican tournament ids.

Thanks Ronaldo. I will check these options and let you know how it works out. Outsider_87's reply seemed to help but I am trying for other tournaments too and i think "qualify from previous year" really does have a n effect. I will try.

This works Outsider_87 thanks. I am trying to now successfully have a working UEFA Champions League 2008/09 and UEFA Cup 2008/09 in manager mode in FIFA 09.

I need some help from you though Outsider_87. I know you are the right one to ask this to, but if anyone else can help too, please do so.

To create a proper UEFA Champions League 2008/09 and UEFA Cup 2008/09 in manager mode, I need the proper tournament structure.

I thinks Israel, Slovakia, Malta and Finland are leagues which are in the process of being released as patches.

Go to the must have downloads page, there are 4 patches released by FIFA mexico and you can get most of those teams from there, For the columbian teams just extract from CEP and then import into your database and update rosters, kits, etc, I have have a fully working CONCACAF champs league, Copa Sud and Copa Lib, I have all CONMEBOl leagues and 6 Concacaf leagues, I have them tied into the World club cup as I also have AFC and arab champ league. You just have to dig and do a lot of editing.
