I'm very sad but not at all surprised at the anal raping we received at Dayton tonight. They are STUDS at home. I was talking with a buddy of mine pre-game and and I told him I saw the game going one of two ways: close game and we lose, or we lose by 30. There was no way in hell we were gonna win that game so I guess that's why I'm not that upset as some other people around these parts are. The way I see it, we are still tied for first in the conference and we have 3 straight home games coming up so we SHOULD be 11-2 going into our last three conference games (with the only toughie being at Rhode Island). A 13-3 record in conference and 23-7 overall going into the A-10 Tournament I think puts us solidly in the NCAAs even if we lose the only A-10 Tournament game we play.

Bobby Lutz teams have been known to fall apart towards the end of the season though so if we don't win another game the rest of the way then hey, it was nice while it lasted I guess.

That's no excuse at all Bobby. The A-10 is a fantastic basketball conference that unfortunately doesn't get the respect it deserves because it's not a "power" conference. We just concluded our fifth season as members of it yesterday and in those five years we have been nothing but mediocre. This only comes down to the AD and the coaching staff. I'm sorry but Charlotte has better facilities than 95% of the A-10 schools yet we constantly get out-recruited by schools because Bobby and the gang have failed to adapt. It's pretty sad to be honest.

She's probably one of the weaker ADs in the University of North Carolina system, and it's particularly striking given Charlotte's resource base. It's the only UNC school with a base of 1,000,000 people to itself (Carolina and Central split the triangle -- though Central is a joke).

Have you seen UNCG's facilities? Some of them are really classy, and they don't have the resources Charlotte does.

I think a lot of it is how determined they were to have football -- which there's nothing wrong with, they just better keep their hands off men's soccer and men's golf (two long time winners for the school) in the process -- that they forgot about the basketball programs, the crown jewel of any school athletic program in North Carolina. (App State excluded)

I've been a UNC fan my whole life, but since I was born in Charlotte I like to see the Niners do well too. The problems at the top are a real shame because they have passionate support.

You're preaching to the choir man. A lot of us feel Judy Rose is quite sub-par as our AD.

That's a complete joke. Has Charlotte ever finished in the top 3 in the A-10? No disrespect, but right now Charlotte is more like Costa Rica or even Honduras, NOT Germany. To be the big fish you actually have to win, not consistently finish below Temple, Xavier, and Dayton. Charlotte is not the big fish, Xavier is.

Shifty you are right too though, we are nothing but a middle of the road team in the A-10, as sad as that is. We started 8-1 in conference and finished 1-6 without any injuries. That HAS to be blamed on the coaching staff.

I sure hope so, Kentucky is the 1 seed I want. I think we would frustrate the hell out of those guys, but I must admit we have no shot at defending DeMarcus Cousins.

By far? Hardly. I'd say Duke's is easiest. From what I've read and heard, everyone else also thinks the same.

Though it's a bit weird that the two top #1 seeds got the hardest brackets.

I think it's hilarious that UNC had to play at Carmichael. I understand that they're doing some construction on the Dean Dome, but the message seems to be "losing teams can't play at the big arena".
