Comparing Graphics FIFA 2005 and PES4

Oops, I mean PES3! They always talk about how FIFA's draw is the graphics...really? Take a look, and tell me what the significant differences are, please:

I'm running them side-by-side on the Alienware laptop (alliright, technically we're talking about FIFA 2005 vs WE7:I), and I find that there's little difference in graphical composition of the game.

Which then leaves GAMEPLAY...

:)

EA is funny. The thing that they are supposed to be better at, they really are not at all; and the thing which folks who PLAY GAMES deserve, i.e. GAMEPLAY, they still haven't figured out fully!

PES4 all the way.

Konami has caught up in the graphix department. I saw a pic of Gilberto in the fifa 2005 multimedia and he looked like he just came out of a burning building. Really ugly stuff man

I have demo factory which lets me set Fifa 2005 to top graphic settings and they still aren't as good as PES3 and DEFINATELY not as good graphically as PES4.

Uh, no. My PC's an Alienware, dude. For side by side's sake, I had both games at 640 x 480, but okay...

The following is both games at their respective maximums...1280 x 1024 for PES 3, and 1024 x 768 x 32 for the FIFA 2005 demo set via the Demo Raptor (FIFA 2005 may have a higher resolution, I'll grant you..but so may PES4, so it's all good).

First FIFA 2005:

I'm saying, PES3 is ABSOLUTELY on-par with FIFA 2005. Noone in their right mind can possibly say that one graphical representation far outstrips the other. My personal preference is for the PES3 screen, but it is PES3 with the Wolf's update, while the demo's kits, etc. have not been patched.

But just in terms of the graphical composition of the screen and the game, there's no discernable advantage to FIFA...none at all.

As PES4 is supposed to be marginally better, and is certainly better in terms of gameplay, well...

Just a few word.
Fifa graphics - smoother, cleaner, prettier, if you will.
Pes graphics - more realistic, actually reflects the football as it is, as far as any computer game can.

on ps2 i think graphics wise fifa 2004 has the edge on pes3.
however pes4 has a LOT better graphics then pes 3.... so now if the gameplay in fifa doesn't improve it'll have nothing much to boast about save the liscensing.

I dont see where you people judge that PES' graphics are better? Looks like a PS1 game.. horrible.

FIFA's graphics are way better, looks like an actual game from a HDTV screen with high resolution.

Man you guys are so picky, from those 2 pics.......well 1st thing try to get the pics exactly the same for a start, same camera, height, distance, weather, time of day, same resolution, before we start comparing atleast, then lets have a look, look at how much bigger the PES shot is, come on, lets get real.............................Graphically both look ok, from this rough attempt at comparisons, i like the way in the FIFA shot the players look a little more natural but this is the latest FIFA game the PES is a year old, the 3 gorillas in red in the PES shot squeezing off one dont look the best i admit but again this aint PES4, BUT have you noticed that the crowd in the PES shot look far more well behaved,.......must be due to a greater police presence.............i, i then....:hump:

I think in those screenshots FIFA looks better than PES. But PES3 in high resolution for me looked beautiful, just a pity about the slowdown.

I think FIFA's graphics shine more on console. To me it just looks smoother and the lighting is better. Some of FIFA's textures on the PC for me look off.

One thing I don't agree about is PES "looking more like football". That screenshot at the top of this thread is on a sunny day. Not all days are like that in FIFA 2005. For a sunny day I think that screenshot looks pretty realistic.
