The ref from the AC final was one of the most overbearing and strict refs I've ever seen. Mint, your name means telling a "fib" in Romanian (google translate mint). Are you the creation of my negativities manifesting themselves as a poster? (H ). I'm just joking, I'm making no real sense.

I don't know if it was the same guy, but I think that's the dude who screwed over Team USA against Slovenia at the World Cup. Didn't end up mattering, but holy hell was I pissed off at the time.

So is it a big deal that Kareem Abdul Jabbar was a Buck?

I think that's the Bucks only NBA Title, but no not really. I understand he despised the city and bolted first chance he got. I doubt there was much of a black Muslim community in 1972 Milwaukee. Bucks basically traded him out of gratitude for the title.

Hehe the "Team USA" is something that makes me laugh a bit. Why do Americans so often add "Team" to the start of a national team name?

What are we supposed to call it? United States of America doesn't exactly roll off the tongue like England does mind.

I'd just just USA/the USA/the US? You don't say Team Slovenia?

I don't say Team Slovenia, but what do they say in Slovenia? The way I used it above was just to differentiate that I didn't mean he screwed over the entire country (although he did), but rather only the national team. It wouldn't have been that ambiguous because of context had I just said "the US", but on its own it would have been odd.

I think we all would have got it, if you said:
"...but I think that's the dude who screwed over USA against Slovenia at the World Cup".

I'm just being annoying and picky. I've noticed it in other sports too. I actually don't mind it, think it sounds like you have pride in your national teams, but just saying I've noticed that loads of national teams from the USA, in different sports, are often referred to as "Team USA". Never heard it in any other country.
