as a refresher Saviola, Romagnoli and Coloccini were amongst the Argentina team, and the goalkeeper was lux

so why dont US have all thier star players?
We put higher importance on winning the Gold Cup, and a lot of our players were either unwilling or not allowed (by their clubs) to play in both tournaments.

I wonder if we'll even be invited to Copa America next time around, seeing as how we brought our B-team this time. I guess that depends on how we play against Colombia and Paraguay, but I don't have a good feeling about this.

Pato could have used a pillow tonight, apart from 2 or 3 plays the US were harmless.

YELLOW CARD: Untrustworthy
Despite the score, I'm still proud of how this young squad played. They didn't make it easy for argentina and they had to play hard and earn their goals. In the end, our defense got tired. I thing we can make it out of the group. But will see what happens.

Very disappointed with Argentina today, I didn't expect such a bad performance. Veron should be given the boot, and Aimar should be given his spot. Poor performance by Messi today though (N)

As expected.
The US B team is really well below their A team.

I really don't believe they'll be able to get anything positive from their next games. Paraguay will be difficult, and Colombia even tougher. They'll need alot more than what they showed today to get pass those teams.

Edit: I'm glad my man Bornstein gave a good game, he's one to watch for the future.

If we can make it out of this group with the team that we brought, Bob Bradley should be knighted. Eddie-freaken-Gaven? I never thought I'd say this, but he shouldn't have taken Olsen out.

Yeah, the team felt like they were in slow motion for awhile.
Just like Brazil yesterday.

These teams have incredible speed and accuracy, why are they just not using it?

Well, well things turned to be a lot better in the second half, Argentina made good use of the ball in the second half, United States tried to do some attacks but didn't change a lot until Argentina scored the 2nd goal, after that the match was pretty much finished, United States wasn't that defensive but being down on the score they were forced to attack and Argentina had more space allowing them to create more clear chances. Good to see that Tevez just needed few minutes to show his class.:rockman:

Mascherano was the man of the match in my opinion, Verón, Messi, Aimar and Tevez also had a good match. While Heinze was probably the less good from us was Heinze more likely, his passes weren't good same with his long balls, actually he should not abuse long balls.
