So, if you compare them, you will notice that many strings are eliminated, replaced and IDs changed. I did it because after some edits with CM10 beta3 I noticed some text was missing in the BOARD EXPECTATIONS screen (messy text instead of a simple "n/a").

Hope you can fix it, hope this can help.

I think this is a side effect of a database language reduction that CM does. This is because, if language.db becomes too big, you will loose a lot of strings in the game. Unfortunately, in FIFA 10, the "N/A" string is one of the deleted. I will fix.

Unfortunately this is not possible or better, so complex to make it impossible. Btw I developed a tool that I did not publish in order to convert a patch into a CMS compliant patch but it is not very userfiendly (and this is the reason why I did noy publish it). Maybe I can publish it this year so patchmakers or expert user can convert existing patches in CMS compliant patch with only a few minutes of work.

Also, I have seen your report about Face importing and I am really confused because the code managing big files is quite stable (only the FAT must be adapted every year but the big structure is unchanged from several years). I really wonder if you are using two programs trying to modify the big in parallel. My code is not protected against multiple accesses from different programs so, if you modify a big usin CM10 and the same big using File Master of FDM they could create an unpredictable result. Can this be an explanation ?

No I didn't miss it. I also spent some time to make similar tests and the behaviour of the PRO mode is still very confused to me. I didn't find any way to add a National Team to the PRO mode and I also noticed that adding a team to the international league you can get a crash or not simply changing the id of a team (while everithing else remains unchanged) This sounds like if in the executable of FIFA.EXE there are some controls about the national team ids built in the game and the one that are not - if this is the case it is a bad news because we cannot use the database to change the FIFA behaviour. We need to investigate further.

I don't know if this is the right place to be asking this, but I think so :)

I was just wondering if anybody had found some kind of different settings for adboards? (like for the nets).

What I'm thinking about is that it might be possible to change the way the adboards are rotating. (I believe that in FIFA08, there was different ways in which the adboards were rotating (for some teams only three different adboards where shown at the time and for other they weren't rotating at all.

Hope someone has found something like that :)

Can you send me that tool.? I want to give it a try.

No i am not using FileMaster at the same time.
Which is strange is that this only happens with faces. Maybe because the kits/adboards/flags i am only replacing existing ones.
If you send to me the CMS conversion tool i can try to import a complete league to see what happens. (I want to keep my db organized:innocent_smile_1:)

Hi Rinaldo, Test report.

As for International round, I did one experiment, I change CountryID of P.R.China and use countryID 155 to Malaysia. Also I change using DBM10 and spreadsheet Malaysia players Nationality to 155. As for P.R.China I change to 156.

Now, I can play in BAPC&C as malaysia player and eligible to fight to the main squad (NT). Based on that experiment, FIFA10 protect or limits the international rounds as per CountryID.

Just to share the outcome, in case it is useful.

EXTRA NOTE : Turns out, when I play in BAPC&C, exactly on the third match (just like other reports I presume), i.e., the friendly game with Poland, all players are GK, and then when I click advance button, the game crash.

One side note, not related to CM10 problem.
I change your kit00L.x and maybe the rest experimenting with better minikits making.
I see that you use fifa09 medium 3d model. May I know how do you convert it to x file and SIMPLE! I use blender and it has lots of stuf no like yours.

I just want to share with you my changes. Problem related to normalize which makes darker stripe (as I stretch the shirt to make it untuck. I need your suggestion on how to eliminate the darker spot.



I did the changes to make my life easier when creating minikits and re-creating minikits. Anyway, always thankful for the CM series.

Unfortunately, at least to my knowledge, the answear to all your questions is "NO, it is not possible".
Maybe a 3D model expert can find a way....

Just reporting one thing:

On the "Formation" tag, in the section "Defensive tactics", when i change the values for "Position (Deep-High)" / "Aggression (Low-High)" / "Width (Narrow-Wide)" , the CM10 don't save the changes, always keeps the original settings.

I can't see this problem. Are you using beta 3.

"Tournament Id: a unique id for the tournament. It is important because it is used to determine if a tournament appears in the first year of career or not. If it is less then 95 the tournament appears from the first year of a career, if it is 95 or higher the tournament will appear only from the second year of a career."

I have figured out some strange behaviour of FIFA 10.

1) The international_ids table accepts only 52 entries, 53rd makes FIFA to crash in PRO mode. Unfortunately this limits the possibility to associate a Country with a National Team and this is necessary in order to create a league and other tournaments for that country (yes this is a little bit crazy but it is the way FIFA 10 works).
2) Some ids normally used by the National teams seem to be “forbidden” for a newly created team. For example I tried Slovakia (1360) and Colombia (1373) both of them causes a crash if selected in the Kick-off menu. The exact same team but with a different id instead works (for example I used 191360 and 191373).
3) I didn’t find a way to make a new national team to appear in PRO mode, for example it is impossible to select Hamzik and play with Slovakia also if Slovakia exists. Instead it may happen that our National team plays against Slovakia. The only way (tried by Skeptik and not me) is to use for your own national team the id of another national team already existing in the game.

All these are bad news for patch makers. This means that FIFA 10 is not as robust as FIFA 09 was and many rules are built in the executable code and not inherited by the database.
