Database Edits To Reduce Game Speed

it does not matter how you edit it if it looks just like his in the end.

There is also one thing that you could try to reduce run&gun game speed:
put player and CPU line length sliders to around 20.
That will make both teams more compact and you (or CPU) will not be able to penetrate the midfield so easily so both teams will have to hold the ball in the midfield and will not be able to pass it to forwards so easily.
It will also make the game a little harder (and more realistic IMO).

Hmmm, are you sure this works?

It works for me. I have extensively tested sliders line height, lenght and width on legendary and my conclusion is:
-line height: 40 to 50 is ok. More than 50 and defenders will stand too far from their goal.
-line length: with default 50 there is a wide gap between three lines (Def/mid/att). When you lower it below 25, it is more compact and more difficult to penetrate. It is much more realistic. You (and CPU) have to work harder in midfield to find the gap.
-line width: setting below 50 makes it too easy for player to pass on wings (vs cpu).
