The Frosty db editing process is identical to the one described here in post #1. Export the db files from the game files, export the tables from the db files and edit in Excel, import the edited tables back into the db files, and then import the db files back into the game files.how to use that tool in text format
Does that work during a Manager Career if you want to manually make a transfer between two teams you don't control?Switch their teamid value in the teamplayerlinks table.
Test it out and post your results. I don't play career mode so could you explain how you were able to accomplish this in past FIFAs.Does that work during a Manager Career if you want to manually make a transfer between two teams you don't control?
It doesn't work. People who know managing career files better than me have told me it doesn't work. I have a vague recollection of being able to do this in FIFA 15 or earlier but I think it was in tournament mode.Test it out and post your results. Using rinaldo's IM tool, yes. Fidel created and still creates mods that allow for career mode player editing, but I don't know about transfers as I have never used those mods.I have a vague recollection of being able to do this in FIFA 15 or earlier
That's the problem with editing things like cm files, it can break the game, check theawesomegem's cm thread, people are finding serious bugs as they play it.I did some Frosty edits of cmsettings and transfers and I was surprised that everything worked well, as I had hoped. Unfortunately, the moment I exit out of the career save and reload it, the game crashes. Every time. I've tried everything. I tried removing the edits one by one, nothing works. I have the latest Frosty Editor and I'm on title update 2. Don't know what else to try.
There is no player with that ID in my game so I can't help you. There are 8 different db/meta files that can be exported in Frosty, whoever you are looking for may be in one or more of those DBs.Also @bangus do you know how many IDs Ronaldo Nazario have? We all know one of his ID is 37576. But he has 3 faces now. If you use Frosty Editor to view his 37576 ID face, you will see that he has only 1 face inside that ID of 37576.
I see, I will take a look at it.There is no player with that ID in my game so I can't help you. There are 8 different db/meta files that can be exported in Frosty, whoever you are looking for may be in one or more of those DBs.
I doubt they are in the main ng.db files. But if you want to find possible duplicates of players using different IDs, one way is to locate the player's first/last name ID, then sort the columns and look for players with the identical first/last name IDs.What ID are they using? How can I find them?
I haven't done anything to the squad file. I only tried editing transfers.ini to stop transfers from happening. That's all I want is to completely stop them. I tried editing the squad file using DBMaster to prolong contracts and lower transfer budgets but that didn't work for me either for some reason.FYI, if you have edited team info using the in-game editor (formations, tactics), and then export tables to further edit the db, it can corrupt your save. Whereas editing players and making transfers using the in-game editor, doesn't corrupt the file. In case that applies.
What do you mean "that didn't work"? Do you mean your edits didn't show up in-game? If so, that would indicate the mod is not launching, and there are a few different reasons why that happens.I tried editing the squad file using DBMaster to prolong contracts and lower transfer budgets but that didn't work for me either for some reason.
Well, you know, you tried to help me through using DBMaster to edit the xml and db files, and removing all the zero values etc etc. And I never got that to work for editing contract years and transfer budgets. So then I went back to editing just the inis in the dlc folder like I did with 16. Is it possible to do the previous db edits you were helping me with but with Frosty instead of DBMaster and squad file converter? What do you mean "that didn't work"? Do you mean your edits didn't show up in-game? If so, that would indicate the mod is not launching, and there are a few different reasons why that happens.
The Frosty editor allows you to edit all tables, including the tables with contract years and transfer budgets, and the career mode tables, so the answer is yes.Is it possible to do the previous db edits you were helping me with but with Frosty instead of DBMaster and squad file converter?
The Frosty Editor doesn't appear to have the ability to do anything other than import/export.The Frosty editor allows you to edit all tables, including the tables with contract years and transfer budgets, and the career mode tables, so the answer is yes.
