When in-game, go to Profile and load your edited squads file. Check that next.

When you run into issues like this and don't know what the problem is, you first have to make sure your db edits are even working, and that the game is loading your edited squads file. This is the easy way to check that:

-Create a test db file.
-Open the players table.
-Change all players to 1 agility (column j). Change the 1st player to 1, then copy and paste 1 in the whole column, it only takes 10 seconds.
-Go in-game and load your edited squads.
-All players should be 1 agility. If they are not, the problem is with your editing process. Which means it is going to be very difficult to help you as we cannot know what you are doing wrong.

There is a player trait called one team player, it's possible if you assign that to players they will stay with their teams. There's a trait ID thread in the FIFA 16 forum, although I checked it out two weeks ago and a lot of the trait IDs have changed in FIFA 18. But one team player might still be the same ID, I will post the ID if I find it.

According to the old trait chart, it is the trait 2 column, ID 512. FYI you can combine trait codes and have more than one trait.

There may even be a similar type of team trait ID but I don't recall seeing one.

Will try this weekend things that were mentioned by Fidel and others, will update if either works.

That works, I used it many times and it changes the budget, although it uses a formula and the budget is never the same for two teams with the same value, but yes, it works.

Well, I finally got some DB edits to change the budgets and contracts of players but even now that there are no more transfers, the teams are still doing loans! So annoying. Any way to particularly turn off loans?

You've made a bunch "fantasy edits" so to speak so realism isn't important. So why would a few players leaving on loan be an issue? In a fantasy league, what does it matter which players are on which team?

I see that profitability tab in teams table also influences the budget, the lower the number, the higher the budget....strange.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, very strange. I've been exploring other ini files for references to loan outcomes as well. I'll let you know if I find anything.

Rather than ridicule you publicly like you just did to me, I've chosen to reply to you in a private message... you need to call me out in front of others for doing something that you clearly find ridiculous... I'll never understand why people who think others are idiots can't just move on and keep it to themselves rather than calling others out.

I was asking you a friendly question, just trying to have a dialogue about fantasy rosters. I helped you out for a month answering all your questions, and this is how you return the favor smh.

I always play with fantasy rosters and injuries off BTW. I have never played with default teams. I do things like fill the EPL with all the best players in the game. In FIFA 17 I have Messi and C. Ronaldo on Arsenal with Buffon as GK (I always move Cech back to Chelsea where he belongs).

It's the same value for all players so it has no impact on the game. I would guess it's something they plan to use at some point, or that it was placed in there to make it harder to edit the db. EA regularly shuffles things and adds tables and values, to make the game harder and harder to mod.

I found something regarding modifier. Values are like 0,1,2,3,4. '4' for players like Roaldo, sanchez that uses back heels and stuff. I believe that might be it, just like star ratings. Probably I'm wrong

Good job. I actually made a mistake after reading your first post. I checked my db and all players were set to 0. But I mistakenly checked a db I had already edited. I now see in the original db that most of the 18,000 players are 0 and 1, a couple hundred players are rated 2, a few dozen are rated 3, and six players are rated 4. So you're no doubt correct.

FYI, those are the sort of player and team values I always set to 0. The game is full of boost cheat values for the star players and star teams. I edit the game to eliminate as much of that nonsense as possible.

It is in the legacy files, follows the same format as FIFA 16 for the most part.

Does anyone know how to extract squads from a career db file? I'm using moddingway's squads converter with the new FIFA 18 squads default file, the squad files I convert to db open in db master but when i try a converted career mode db file it gets stuck on rendering tables. I assume this is because i'm trying to load with the wrong xml file, this was doable in previous fifas however... (also, there was another method of grabbing squad db's from career mode by overriding the squads file ingame, as far as i'm aware this isn't possible anymore)

the squadconverter give some glitches. u need to clean the DB using dbmaster. I made it before, and after cleaning, worked
