Decent Video card that can handle current games

Here i come again with good news as usual

plz do not ******* waste ur money on any gaddmn video card > $290. Why? No DX 10 games are out yet. is it to show people that u have the latest graphic card? too bad for u guys that have NVIDIA 8800gtx and so on. u spend $500.00 or so for a card? Hell ****in no, i say **** it. Except for the rich kids/boys who dont give a damn to buy any **** they want.

i want to confirm that Saphire ATI RADEON 1950GT 512mb 256bits can play CRYSIS on the default setting (med/High combined setting), with no probs @ 1360 x 768 and 1400 x 100. i didnt try anymore higher bcos i was satisfied with the mentioned resolutions. I have not tried it on all full high setting yet.

And of course it will kill pes 2008 on high. I have also tried it on many resolution including 1600 x 1050 which is my current setting. just make sure u have a monitor that can support up to 1900 x 1050 or more.

plz do not waste ur money buying dual core 2 and all those wasteful ****. unless u have vista, but i know that Pent D processors can still carry vista.

I hate vista so much that i will give my unused vista key to the first person that will request for it. a full working x86 vista buisness edition installation key. it was given to me by my friend. But as usuall i will not upgrade until 2010.

Actually Crysis is the first DX10 game. If you don't have a DX10 compatible videocard and/or you're not running Vista it will run in DX9 mode... so yes, then it's quite easy to achieve good framerates but you're missing out on all the new DX10 effects!

There are a dozen games released already that can easily stress a 8800GTX, so it's not fair to say it's wasted money.

Look at the game performance section.
That's with last years games. With current games like Crysis, that are among the first to truly utilize dual-cores
to their full power, the gap in performance is wider.

That's a good card thought, I would recommend it.

Though I wouldn't recommend buying a card right now. The next line of cards is just around the corner.
Which means that the current cards will drop in price pretty soon.

That's the problem with PC gaming. Updating costs serious money. Only to upgrade again in 5 months, wash, rinse and repeat. I would love to see how crysis looks and plays though.

hrmm heres an intresting fact, the demo to crysis can be made to used dx10 effects under dx9 on winderz xp on a dx9 card! looks like dx10 is another market ploy from M$

played CRYSIS all high. i mean every setting high, and game didnt lag at all with ATI RADEON 1950GT 512mb 256 bits. resolution 1360 x 768. will try other resolution soon.

It works fine. I just cannot choose this option in settings; to be more clear: I can set either 1024*768(High Quality) or 1600*1200(Medium Quality). Why can't I choose 1600*1200(High Quality)?

U can possibly have 2 problems:
1. Does ur monitor support up to 1600 by 1200 resolution?
2. U need to download the unlocked setting file with ur desired resolution.
