Do you miss fifa2005???

I was very dissapointed with FIFA 06 and actually think FIFA 2005 is a better game on a number of fronts:
The graphics on FIFA 06 look very "cartoony" and despite the latest gameplay patches that have appeared to date, the behaviour of the ball is just not very satisfying. When you shoot in FIFA 06 it feels like a delayed damp slap at the ball.
The tackling in FIFA 06 is at best "click and hope for the best" and the CPU continually whacks terrible passes out of play resulting in incessant throw-ins.

Just my tuppenceworth...

I still play my fifa 2005 career (I started after 06 came out, now I don't edit the db anymore and could start playing seriously lol), some things are better in 06 (graphics, easier changing of tactics ingame, more flexible to edit), some things I prefer in 2005 (free kick system, slower gameplay, better first touch controls), imho EA should put the best of both in a sack, shake well and then take what's in the sack and name it Fifa 07.

I agree with Bily1969: free kick system is better in FIFA 2005.

But I really do not miss FIFA 2005, special after OckHAM's CEP. :)

I prefer the free kick system in FIFA06. In 05, it seemed like you didn't need to be good at the shot to score, as long as you had a decent enough shooter. It frustrates me when Beckham or Henry step up, screw up their shot meter, but still put it perfectly into the upper corner, while a less talented shooter lines it up perfectly aiming slightly off the post, and it goes miles from where you wanted it.

Well maybe I suck at free kicks then because in hundreds of matches I only managed to score 3 till now, that is way to rare to be enjoyable, in Fifa2005 when I had a free kick I was all excited : hey a scoring opportunity, now it's just bah another waste of time and energy... (and yes I tried high, low, effect, praying to alien forces, everything)

exactly the free kick system put me off FIFA 06 completely, I'm waiting for WC 2006 (H), produced by Danny Issac :rockman: (well he's better than Ricour if FIFA 06 is the best that he can come up with :p ) Untill April, I'm playing my RTWC patch for FIFA 2005 :chew: :jambo: :jap:
