Try playing around with the sprint speed and acceleration sliders. I like a real life sim style and I have sprint at 30, accel 45, it makes the game feel more realistic and less like pressing the 1.5x fast forward on your vcr.

Understood, and I was one of the biggest critics of the overpowered standing tackle, because the AI never misses on higher difficulties. But I really miss the aggression and constant pressing from 2.0. Here is a screenshot of the last game of the season with your 2.0 patch, the CPU doesn't give me any room to breathe and punishes me for every wayward pass even if I misjudge my teammates run by just a little bit. I play a mixture of youth and first teamers (man utd).

Right now, 2.0 is still my fav, on legendary and cpu marking 55, pass error 65, first touch error 70.

hey fidel, enjoying the gameplay evo immensely. you mentioned you were willing to increase both human and AI defending in a future version?

i'd welcome this as long as it doesn't bring a truckload of reckless challenges, and actually increases how tightly both my AI teammates and opposition AI mark attackers. i've used sliders for marking and the results weren't very impressive.

also - i don't know if you or other community members have noticed - occasionally when dropping back to defend, the player ive selected (usually a CDM or centreback) is stuck in a very slow side-stepping animation.

the only fix ive found is hold RT+LT for a good while, usually until the player is back in position and remains in that area for a few moments. again, it's not a big deal because i have my own fix for it, but it does remind me of EA's legacy of shit scripting.

regardless, this is a fantastic game now because of the gameplay evo(currently using 2.2). thanks to fidel and the community for making fifa enjoyable again.

EDIT: yo - i only bring up the side-stepping bug hoping fidel or someone could remove it. i wasn't implying it was his mod at all. we all know who puts dogshit like that in their games ;)

Unfortunately this year for me give my personal reply to all posts, is very difficult!
Anyway I always think about you in this magic forum:
for example almost every day I read your feedback and after I go to edit and try new gameplay settings in my career, and today I have reached a new target required from gameplay feedbacks here....
Now I had an idea in mind:
I've published a new folder in the gp evo onedrive cloud:
MY_PRIVATE_ADV_GP_EVO_AI_[D+]
into this folder you can see my real time gp evo, the same version I'm testing.
For everyone try this version, share the name of the folder where is contained.
For example the new one is in 12_10_2014 folder.
On the future you can post feedback and gp evo version date.
For me is really easy share my private gp evo to everyone in this folder, and on addon I'll share without info or details. Full details come out with public version.
Sometimes I'll release gp evo special version for myself, and in this way I'll share with forum.
I really enjoy the game with this version, and if you want you can try it out.
Download link is in the gp evo post, browse the new folder and check out.
The new version include a lot of improvements, I think you can see at first match another game again. I've restored player's tackles skills (both hum and AI) to original values and restored also the fantastic defense and AI tackles behavior included in gp evo 2.0 and 2.1.
For me this gameplay is almost perfect. For me I've created the perfect balance. Use the pace control.
I use slider human accel to 48 instead at gp evo 2.2 (50) new included sliders.
Wait for feedback tomorrow. Let me know if you like.

¿Why you tell us to play with origin on offline mode?

I am very noob on this mods and i want to know something:

If i want to play carreer with your mods and sometimes play online with friends, what should i do?

can you do something with the stamine in a match? in my opinion its should go down faster in each match.

couldn't agree more - this is the FIFA I've always wanted to play. for years.

@Fidel : have you changed anything about 2.2 since you first put it up (I think I've had it a week now, but you've only just officially mentioned it)?

if not, I don't care. fifa now has just the right amount of pressure, pace, realism, fouls, challenge, and oh shit shitshit get back getback GETBACK that I could possibly expect.

i'd recommend your services to EA but im not sure they're interested in fair, balanced, skill-based gameplay these days.

Hi fidel, this is a special request for the LOD. Is there any way to just increase boot LOD? Or to increase LOD only that much that boot models and hair models are always visible?
Because with LOD medium/high/ultra high, my game has micro stutterings... :(

Never in my life had so much fun when playing football video game...it is so balanced now...everything seems right how it should be. This game with your last patch is balanced as good as pes5 was in the past...now word "balance" is really there...a lot of midfield battles. Now I will start my carrer because game is amazing.

Fidel can you answer for couple of my questions ?

Now if I will introduce your carrer gameplay patch it will be even better or should I leave this game only with this last one private gameplay patch to play carrer mode ?

Can I update fifa 15 by an official ea patch or shouldn't I ?

Can you find a way to reduce a little bit speed reactions of goalkeepers ? Because I think it is very hard to score from outside the box. What do you think about that ? Or maybe some other tips to make it a little bit easier ?

Other than that this gameplay is just PERFECT !

latest example: Liverpool vs me at villa park. baker and okore (central defenders), despite "Park the Bus", fresh after kickoff where ive just scored, are standing TOGETHER 20 yds up the center of the pitch, with BOTH wingbacks pushed all the way back, playing Ricky "Ronaldinho" Lambert well onside and in acres of space right down the throat of the park.

he receives a through ball from Lallana any child could play with ease, and even though i was fast as i could in pulling the 2 defenders back to the middle, he takes it, dribbles through okore (despite me making a successful tackle) and goes far post ground-laser from 18 yds. all of this perhaps 7 seconds from kick off.

i could bore you all to sleep with literally DOZENS of examples from this ONE fixture alone. i'm not directing this at fidel at all, please understand, just fed up with EA thinking 'football simulation' means simulating the influence of criminal betting syndicates into their shitty game.

on the positive side, in vanilla fifa this kind of thing happened every other match. some kind of ridiculous chain of events to make sure a certain scoreline is met. it doesn't happen nearly as often with gp evo 2.2. i would say now 1 in 5 or 6 matches is 'fixed.'

i hope im contributing in some fashion.. ive really enjoyed testing fidel's gameplay improvements. just reporting what i see and like loaf - if theres some thing that can be disabled to prevent these laughably manufactured moments, then off with its head i say.

as players, as customers, we should have to bear the ups and downs of football - especially with a bunch of 70-something rated players (my AVFC) - when players switch off for just a half moment, and a header just slips through for an embarrassing equalizer.

as players and customers, we should NEVER have to compensate for patently unrealistic moments like the one described above, over and over and over and over throughout a season. EA deserves several sound testicle kicks for making this such a prominent feature of this thing they regard as a product.

Ha-ha, I've been saying the same about FIFA and their NHL game for years. Suggestion: Lower CPU teams' def aggression and mentality tactics to 10-20, you will see far less CPU cheating AND the overall pace of the game will be much more like real-life.

when you refer to lowering AI defensive aggression and mentality, are you talking about my AI guys? i really have no problem attacking the AI. they are always pushing me to play better going forward

it's in defending where i see my formations, tactics, instructions, etc thrown out the window as i look back to see my CDM and back line doing things that wouldn't be acceptable in the most amateur of sunday leagues.

should i go to my tactics and make my defensive approach very deep + non-aggressive?

ADAPTIVE_DIFFICULTY

CPUAI_OFFENSE_DIFFICULTY

I've spent the past 3 years finding ways to fix this one issue with the game, it's my biggest complaint with FIFA. If I hadn't edited my db already, I would try Fidel's codes.

First thing I do is I edit the db. I reduce player ratings like speed, accel, reaction, vision and so forth. What this does is it greatly reduces the CPU's ability to play like psychic ninjas when shifting into cheat mode. And it reduces the CPU's overall ability, allowing me to play on Legendary (I'm more a Pro-level ability player). It's on Legendary that you see better CPU-controlled teammate defensive AI, plus more fouls and cards.

I also edit CPU team tactics, player and team attack/defend work rates, player directional values, and even formation edits. All of this is designed to create a less-direct attack-minded CPU, and a more defensive-minded, possession-style CPU.

If you don't edit any of these things, there are still ways to combat the CPU attack aggressiveness. You can't really reduce it without db edits, but you can nullify it to an extent by using sliders to improve your CPU-teammate defensive positioning and play. All you're really doing is getting more bodies back in your box to defend: the more bodies back there, the less passing and shooting lanes the CPU has. It's a simplified positional fix, but it does work.

As an experiment, try this: Set your line height slider to 0, your line length slider to 20, and line width to 35. Start the game, then use the D-pad and choose defensive tactics: park the bus etc. Watch how your CPU-controlled teammates plug up your 18 yard box when the CPU is in possession. This is my max-defend setup. When you are in possession, you can coax your CPU-controlled teammates into an attacking mindset by using the d-pad to change to attack tactics. If you lose possession, use the d-pad to switch back to defend tactics, etc.

As the game goes on and especially if you're down a goal and have to open up your game, switch to height 30, length 60, width 50, or whatever slider settings stretches your attack out once more. None of this is static, you can experiment with whatever works for you. But you do have these options available via sliders.

I`ve tested too 2.3 version, and for me, this game becomes playable. With Fidel, tactically the gameplay is near to be perfect, the only issue remain the players movement when they pass or run. One more, I am tempted to say that his cl.ini works on FUT singleplayer...

yeah, the issue does remain how quickly the players are able to control the ball, or the speed between when I CLICK to pass and its done, or click to shoot and its done. I'm sure he is working on it though, and currently the play is awesome. Had three amazing yellows in my game yesterday, and all VERY believable!

I've played 2.3 for a good few hours today and have to say it is the best gameplay mod I've played so far. I've tinkered with a couple of the sliders here and there but overall, I think you've done a fantastic job Fidel.

Nitpicking, I would still like to see more CPU fouls and handballs but I'm not sure if they can be worked on? Either way, your hard work is very much appreciated!
