Doubt about modding Origin version of FIFA 13

Hey there, I've got a new computer and I'm reinstalling FIFA 13 on it.
I have the game disc, but for some reason my Win8 won't read it, so I had to download it off Origin (since I already had it registered when I installed the game in my previous Win7 PC).

Here's the thing: I want to mod the game, but I don't wanna have to reinstall the game if something goes wrong and I want to return it to default settings, 'cause it'd mean I'd have to download it all over again and my Internet is insufferably slow.

So my question is: which files should I back up if I'm unsatisfied with a patch and want to return FIFA 13 to its original state without uninstalling it from my PC?

Hmm, figured.
Welp, good thing this new PC came packed with a 1TB hard drive, and I've just begun to use it. I've got plenty of room and I'm patient enough to let it copy everything (I downloaded the game today and it took about 5 gigs of space).

But one more thing: if by chance I'll end up finding myself having to do it, won't just pasting everything crash the game from working with Origin, or working altogether?

No it won't. Just copy your FIFA 13 backup folder, delete the old FIFA 13 folder found under Origin Games, and paste in your backup. If you know what files your modding then it's much easier to just replace that file. I only mod the database files and the language files so it never takes me more than a second to revert back in case I mess up.
