PC's are always going to be more powerful than consoles, but in consoles the CPU and RAM and Graphics's powers are all combined and dedicated to give you even more power than you can imagine. In a PC, there will always be something running in the background, system wise or user wise.
DX10 is going to be so powerful but still, Direct-X's job is to make physics look realistic which requires more power from graphic cards and CPU's, in other words buying a PC to play games is going to coast you 5 times the price of a console, it is just how the business run, otherwise Microsoft wouldn't bother launching its Xbox 360, instead they would've just made custom made PC dedicated for gamers, which is not effective or even convenient for many due to the high cost.
OckHAM, Believe me man, that all footage that you've seen from FIFA 07 on Xbox 360 is 100% in-game action, of course while you are playing the more the camera zooms out the less the graphics will be, just the same as in FIFA 06 or 07 on other consoles, but other than that, and while throwing the ball or scoring a goal, the graphics are going to be "amazing", just like the pics, I mean exactly like the pics and even little bit better if you have an HD TV.
I think that EA launched their "lame" game FIFA: Road to World Cup 2006 just to test how the graphical part is capable to perform on those Xbox 360 and at the same time give a glimpse of the future for gamers around the world, so ignore that game title for good.
EA has always been great in talking more than doing, but they use to say stuff in a twisted way, like for example "New powerful engine", this sentence tells us that the engine is powerful but it dose not say how powerful it is, so the result is lame stuff just like in FIFA 05, 06, and probably 07, BUT in the case of FIFA 07 on Xbox 360, EA is claiming and using some really sharp and clear words, they are using "The most realistic game in the history of Videogames"!!!! Now this is something very BIG to talk about, because eventually if the product wasn't "the most realistic thing we've ever seen" then EA is doomed for good, and I don't think that they would like this to happen on an investment they are doing for 2 years... In my guess, I believe that EA has been receiving all the complaints about their football division and how they suck every year, so it's time for them to invest some money on the most popular game around the world, football (soccer) instead of investing their money on how Tiger Woods smiles and talks!! lol (no offence for the golfers out there).
So, guys, I can seriously and for the first time, smell some real deal from EA, it's like if they have awaken from the lame dreams they use to think is cool, and now are presenting something that will revolutionize the Videogaming industry, like Seriously revolutionize!
My talk is based on the pictures, the reviews, and what I know about the power of Xbox 360 that it can handle.
Another thing, I believe that EA didn't use the new engine in their PC or PS2 versions for a big reason: "Exclusive rights for Microsoft's Xbox 360"; Bill Gates wants some money now, so he buys the rights of the new FIFA 07 engine and PES 6 only for Xbox 360 for the next 12 months, in other words EA can't just use their new engine on FIFA 07 for PC and ignore the contract rules, right?
I wish that this game will be what I'm imagining, from one review until now, the word "players moved fluidly" has given me orgasms!! looool I'm waiting for a video right now.
