EA Sports Are Playing the Game!!

EA sports are a business as u are all aware.

Ea have made a great game in FIFA 2003. graphics and presentation are superb, and as a whole, is moving forward excellently.

By 2004, the release will see better gameplay and AI. and they will also develop on graphics.

Up till now (next release 2004) they have had a monopoly on football games. They want to make money every year, so they will keep always leaving things out - "TILL THE NEXT VERSION". so the punters by and are held in antisipation!

We cannot deny the fact that we will be caught up in the FIFA 2004 extravaganza, waiting for news, screenshots, etc

this year will be different with the news of other companies like konami producing footy games. EA will have to get their fingers out and make an outstanding game...

In my opinion fifa 2004 will have great gameplay, handballs, better GK, and a whole load more.

i will always continue to buy FIFA titles. You must remember...It has seen off the likes of the ACTUA series...

OPINIONS??...

Haha , that were predictions for FIFA 2003 , and all the people here said a lot of times "EA SUCKS"

I will always buy the FIFA titles , too. But i think that EA must did that for FIFA 2003 , that things you said , the people said before FIFA 2003.

I want that too , if EA hear our predictions , the game will be perfect.

And , please , EA , try to contract another testers... much times i can see a yellow card on the hand of my player... OR ON THE SOCKS!

Got only a few things to say:

Look at the great kitmakers here and use it to your advantage!!

Yeah right!

I didn't buy FIFA 2003 because it's a rip-off. Why pay money for a game that pretends to be soccer when in fact you can't even header the ball when you want. In what way is that soccer?

If FIFA2004 doesn't improve it's gameplay I'll download that version too. I don't mind paying for quality but if all I get is a bunch of graphics (which admittedly are fantastic) but crap gameplay then why should I waste my money on it?

I don't think the gameplay has got any better this year. I think the passing is now just about right but no doubt they'll find a way to screw that up in FIFA 2004. The free kick and corner system is good so no doubt that will go. If they don't completely change the headering system EA Sports can expect an exodus on a scale not seen since the days of Moses! It's always a step forward and a step backwards with EA. The heading is the worst ever, even the first FIFA on the Sega Megadrive had better heading.

The AI needs major improvements, it's still years behind Konami's and pathetic physics like rebound off goalkeepers and snail paced headers from corners just prove that the testers at EA Sports spend about five minutes each on the game or they give it to people who have never seen or played a soccer game in their life.

Never pin your hopes on EA Sports when it comes to their soccer titles. Their basketball, football, ice hockey and golf titles are untouchable but soccer isn't their thing. It's just another money maker for them. Why do you think they never release and patches for their soccer titles anymore? The update for FIFA 2003 is called FIFA 2004 - everybody knows it!

EA Sports give as much of a crap about soccer as you do about my cat's eating habits, ie. none unless oyu can make some money out of it.

I hope EA Sports lose every customer htey have for their FIFA series because that's what they deserve. All credit to them for their other psorts titles, they deserve praise there but with soccer they should step aside and let a company who gives a crap about the game rule the market. Konami is fast grabbing more and more of the market share and now in North America they can kiss their profits goodnight too.

goddamn right! KONAMI will rule the market in a matter of time. EA is releasing crap 'cause there is no competition and even crap is gonna sell (especially in North America).

well, not anymore!

Is it Soccer? No, because IT'S FOOTBALL! :p

Just joking mate, but yes, it really does suck that EA are unable to make a heading system that works! I mean, this really is sh*t programming, this REEEAAALY is the sh*ttiest programming you can get, we all know what EA are capable of, but this is just AMAZINGLY SH*T! :f***:

If I was EA, I'd build up from FIFA 2003, fixing bugs, adding not taking away and I'd LISTEN SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 100X over more to what the FIFA players' have to say and what THEY, they people buying the game for god sakes, WANT! :)

EA don't understand what football is all about, they only know the rules, but aren't truly THERE with the passion, unlike Konami KCET, you can REALLY feel the passion in the PES games, the difficulty is very hard and this is great, unlike FIFA, where a 3 year old can operate world class mode!! :kader:

Breamster, if you wanna post a prediction of what FIFA 2004 would be, post it here : http://www.soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60304

Every prediction is welcome, including your optimistic one. Mine and the other guys there were just to frustated on how EA has become. They threw too many bull****s to us, until we all feel that it`s now time to say " ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !!!!! ". We`ve been given too many promises, we`ve downloaded the big fat ****in` no good CC to get our game ruined, we`ve written our wishlist with EA ignorance still continues, etc, etc, etc. And the EA support center is probably one of the most pathetic place in the whole internet. Do you remember how many guys demanded for a training mode in FIFA 2003 wishlist ? Did EA give it ??? HELL NO !!!! Instead what ? I`ll tell you what, not only they still not making the training mode available, they even took away features like an in-game editor, boots asigning, manual headers and clearance, and many other stuff. Adding some line in the soccer.ini is said to enable a training mode, but would you call it a training mode when you can only pass the ball, and shooting it to an empty net ?

Anyway, I respect you a lot, especially for your superb gameplay patch, which kick EA`s gameplay ass up all the way into the deepest hell pit ever known. I do understand your optimism, but believe me in another two years you`ll realise, that EA never really want to please their customer, they just wanted their money by giving empty promises to some very new naive customer and make even more money.

sorry...i thought that thread was for joke type predictions?? ??

i will continue to buy the FIFA series every year, not because im stupid, but because its such a good game, and i guess ive got money to burn :)

You have to admit that EA has moved forward in leaps and bounds since version such as 96 and 97.

although it makes mistakes in taking good bits out, it always puts good things back in. (as well as bugs :) )

EA have got to a stage where the graphics are cool, allowing more flags, kits, faces, boots, etc.

this year (I HOPE and RECKON) will be the stage where they enhance the "ball detached from the foot" method and make gameplay better. They will now have competition to look at, in order to get things right.

Ha ha, no it was not suppose to be a joke, but sometimes I got a little bit to excited. Really man, what I wrote there, some of it really resembles EA`s style. Like that they will always to put graphics improvement as their number 1 top priority. Tristanabott wrote something that they even might add players individual nose hair. That prediction really made me have a good laugh. The joke, anyway, it`s not the point, we tried to critise EA using different method. Sometimes it gets to sarcastic, but hell I don`t care, I paid my money and I want a quality which equal the amount I gave them. And I promise you, when Matt manage to arange a chat again with EA, I will be there as one of the most anoying critisizing SOB EA ever face in their history . . .
