where did all those player skills add more player skills these skills in fifa 2002 hardly work

remove cumbersome controls. i'd prefer fifa 99 like controls (ctrl and alt)

most of them have already been mentioned. just hoped that fifa 2002 will be much better, not like someone said 70% players doesn't like fifa2k. reverse the figure!

EA has done a great job with the graphics, just that the gameplay bugs are a pain in the back. it's just the bugs.

That's true but they did patch Madden 2002 to fix the DB AI that so many people bitched about so maybe there is hope that will do the same for Fifa. Time will tell.

BTW, Does anyone know when this patch is supposed to be released? Thanks.

In my humble opinion this should be fixed (all are small but important fixes):

- Improve the AI for Professional level. The CPU uses the same passes and tactics all game long. Just ad a couple more tactics, the ones in amateur for example.

- Give us a training mode with the option to play against NO team, just ourselves so we can learn how to use the new target system.

- Fix the teleporting ball bug (many of us have replays with this one where the ball goes in the opposite direction of the shoot and scores a goal or autogoal)

- Fix the many bugs found in the creation centre. The face lock down and the missing players for example.

- Fix the winged formation bug.

- Make the players get tired more often. I have edited the ini.big file and change the stamina setting to 0.3 instead of 0.03 and right now I am playing with Saudi Arabia, the assistant never reports a tired player because the stamina recovers to fast, at the end of each game all players are in 90% or more.

- Make the CPU fail some passes also. The game is great because more errors ocurr, but it is not fun if the only one making them is the human player. (the CPU misses shoots on goal but NEVER misses while passing)

i`d like EA sports to fix those half way line goal bu the pc players...they make no sense at all and they should be removed...i`d like also to see the pc making some defensive mistakes and dangerous tackles.

Anyway i don`t think they can improve the game alot...it is the worst fifa game ever released...it seems that the makers of the game have never seen a football match and that they made the game based on watching NHL matches.

anyway i want training option back cause im crap.

plus, the cpu STILL has never fouled me WHY?

some temp fixes

Guys (and girls),

If you edit the ini.big file (with Wordpad, not Notepad) there are a couple of changes you can make.

There is a setting for "New defenisve passing" or something like that. Set it to off, or old (i can't quite remember), and it stops the CPU backline passing to each other constantly.

There is also one called "Crazy CPU offside" that stops the CPU cheating on the offside (they even know its cheating!! Why include it???)

Simple...b/c some many of you guys moan the game is so easy...they have include just made this extra and annoying things...to make it easier for the CPU to score..challenging you a bit more...and like in FIFARTWC it seems, that WC mode makes you little less accurate...aas well as the CPU being etter...at the end of the day...you can fiddle around with the ini.big file....aand you can pretty much eliminate all aspects that annoy whiles playing the game although this may take some time to do...on more thing..make sure you've played the game a while before tampering with the ini.big file...and always remerbt o back up (if youdon't well there is the original file in the CD so you really don't have to worry,

if I change the ini.big file, using wordpad, I can get the game to load but when I go to play, ie 3d mode, it quits to the desktop...

wordpad works for me, but notepad doesn't.... You can also use a hex-editor (check the usual download sites), but Wordpad works best I think.:p

My only wish

just give me back my old passing system (short pass and through pass)...i hate this powerup passing system...i can`t put 4 or 5 decent passes together.

i`d also like to improve the pc player A.I. the pc player only knows to make 2 or 3 one two passes then it hit the ball upfield with a long pass then it shots from outside the box to hit the bar or the net.

Maybe this has been said before, but here goes.

Many others and myself play in an online tournament. In order to make the matter of winning depend on the player himself, and not what team he has, we would like to be able to modify all player stats in the teams we play with.

In other words, we would like to be able to play equally with Arsenal versus Molenbelk (or any other low rated team).

However, when connecting online, fifa chooses to use default player stats.

Is there some way that this can be changed?
