You can now edit the FIFA 2005 rosters and database by using UniDB 3.0.

Version 3.0 adds FIFA 2005 support, where you can export FIFA 2005 databases (.db files) as well as FIFA 2004 and UEFA EURO 2004 formats.

You can then view the exported MDB database using Microsoft Access 97/2000/XP (2003 not tested, but should be compatible).

Enjoy.

- if you mess up the data in the access database, and then convert back to fifa.db, the game will probably crash.

If you only change the data sensibly, the game will work perfectly well. :)

the unidb is a little wonky i find... try editing player first and last names a bit and you will run into big problems...

also i cannot edit team kit fonts!
i tried changing the Greece kit font to the correct one: 10 (adidas like France, Spain, Germany etc..) but it doesn't work for me....
am I crazy or am I right... someone try it and tell me.

I'm not sure there wil be any dbedit release from fifaecp - last thing Hercules wrote in here, was that he was too busy to do it....but he gave us unidb already, so that's fine :)

I just hope that someone or even hercules will fix this. In the meantime i will continue my work on this problem. I'll try with UniDB version 3.1.

Hm, strange thing but solved. I tried edited fifa.db database on another computer and it worked. So my system has been "little" smashed. :mrpimp:
I reinstalled it, and it works. Maybe it was collision with some software for fifa, and only God knows how many i installed to play with fifa files. I'll be more carefull in the future.

I dont think its too much important for tuning the teams. I think it's some kind of internal sorting in tournaments or leagues in menus because i dont see that any of these tables has indexes, so there must be some way for fifa 2005 to organize teams.
Maybe someone has more precise answer.

I am not able to edit the "table_playerwrite" player names, "table_teamplayerlinks" player jersey numbers, "table_teamkits" kit fonts + colours,....
I am really only able to edit player skills.
Is this the limitation of UniDB, or is there another problem? What about everyone else?
