Editing Rosters Help

I wanna ask something to the guys who already made a patch for WC 2002:
did you guys used rosters from other patches (say a fifa 2002 patch) or did you edited ALL the players one by one?????

cause I wanna make a patch, but I can't play the World Cup with that team, I just can play friendly (I modified a team, I did NOT create it).

that's what I did, now I started all over again, and I can play the FIRST game of the World Cup but that's it, I cannot get past the first game cause the game crashes, I have no idea why this happened

I am editing the World Cup 2002 game with the latest UEFA Champions League 2002-03 teams and so far managed to edit half the amount (16 teams).

I don't face any game crash so far and I can play AC Milan against Lens in the first game and then the second game and third as well.

What went wrong with you? I mean your style of editing?

From what I experienced so far, you must maintain the combined total kb files of fcdb_dbi and fcdb_eng around 102kb maybe more 103 or 104 but don't go for more or else your game will crash.

Also don't go for the less amount like 90kb because it may crash too. Recently I tried to delete (permanent) the player from the game most of the Asian and African, Costa Rican, Ecuadorians who did not play in the Champions League and the game crash because the amount go down to 83kb.

Well, maybe it's because I'm copying and pasting from a Fifa 2002 patch, BUT I did this for only ONE team (for my teams on CONCACAF) and everything worked right.

Right now I'm just pasting them as clones, and at least I can play friendlies without crashing...
but I'm still not able to play the World Cup

I think I know why you cannot play World Cup with your team. You cannot create or copy a new team into the game otherwise you can only play friendly match.

You have to edit one of the teams in the game replace the team speech and delete the players and then you can copy your team players into the already team. I hope you understand!!!

that;'s what I do, I copy all the players from a team, and I paste them to the other team (say I copy Guadalajara from Mexico to Croatia), but I still don't know why I can't play the World Cup
