u can do it via training :)

Train the player into the new position and play them there.

Or use FMM.

Yes it's actually a lot easier compared to earlier version to retrain somebody's position. But I think he needs to be rather young for that.

Just recently converted me Defender (right, centre) to Defender (right, left, centre.

Click on a player, go to his training tab, and in the top left section of the screen theres a bit about his schedule. It says "New Position", so just select the position from the drop down menu.

or download FMM2.0 (it's in the downloads thread)

backup your game, load your game up, search for that player, and change their MID R ability to 20.

All very simple.

yeh, but since the thread was called "editing" i presume he may have meant "immediate change".

Thanks all for your help!
I have another question, do you need to train your youth team differently than your 1st team? If yes, how?

I tend to train the youngsters more aggressively, as in pushing them harder. Something I've learnt in CM01/02, and that I can't get rid of... not sure if it works, though.

same here, probably shouldnt, but i get my teenagers working hard.

Also, if you see talent in another position for a youngster, do it while they arent bpothering the first team, that way once you do use them in a few years, they're perfect.

Okay, thanks. Next question :). Is there a way to make the assistant manager take over the pesky reserve and youth teams? I hate watching their games and can't be bothered at all. Is there a way out? I tried the "control team" function in Manager/Options but it didn't seem to work. :boohoo:

I'm pretty sure I've never EVER watched a reserve/youth match. The "control team" actually makes you take control of them, I guess... Sorry, I can't give you direct instructions, but mess around and you'll find a way. Or wait for other members to reply.

Anyway, I always let my assistant take over the reserves/youth, including their contracts...

First off all turn off "control team" than do this, I will try to explain it to you as best as I can.

First click on manager, than click on whatever you are option ( ex. Tottenham option ), than when you look at your reserve/U18, team managed by, click that box down and choose who you want to manage your team so that way they take care of those games. Also tick assastant manager/coach takes control of friendly games for you reserve/U18. Here is a pic of what it should look like.

I circled the parts in white. I also tick the use current tactics as I like my players to be familiar with my tactic by the time they are ready to play for the first team. Hope this helps.

Ok so I am trying to conver my AMC/FC to be an MC, how long does this take? For aslong as I have had the game I have no used this optino once. So for you guys who did use thise, how long did it take?

I guess it depends on the players' adaptability and work rate, though I mostly use it to change a MC to MR for example, never really made a DR turn into a MR or anything like that.

It did take quite a while. I wanted to convert a MC to an AMC. After 1-2 years he was 'competent' in that position and after 3-4 years he was 'accomplished' in that position. It's cool though, because in earlier version it, with me atleast, never had success but now it works. :)

I see, 4 years...thats a bit longer than I expected but still good. If I hire better coaches do you think he will convert faster?

Don't know, I do think it depends on his adaptablity and stuff, which was quite low(12 to be precise) in this players case, so it may go quicker when you try it on someone with high adaptability.

Me owe you big time :)! That actually fixed it. Thanks a bunch for taking time. I'll post back here if I have a new question (which will be soon). As for now I will lead The Reds to another CL title ^^

Okay here goes: Whenever I try to buy a player I always end up paying much more than he's worth and whenever I try to sell a player I end up being payed much less than he's worth. If I try to sign a €2 mil player I have to pay like €10 mil and if I want to sell a €7 mil player I get payed like €3. Any help/tips would be awesome.

If a player is important to a club its harder to buy him, so look for players that the club want to get rid of, players who want to leave, or do what I usually do and look for players who are running out of a contract. You can do this if there is 6 months left on a persons contract so its a good way to look at playres during Januaray ( these players who come for free wont come to your club untill the summer ). Try not to focous on just getting one player, if the club is asking too much than look at anothe player who would be cheaper and not that much worse in quality. So just keep searching untill you find someone you can get for a good deal.

As for selling...well I wont say much on this as I suck at selling :$ Usually a lot of my players leave for free...so yea dont take advice from me on this one.
