Exactly, what they should do is give the local schools free tickets to the matches, would be a great opportunity for them - and also help fill the spaces in the stadiums.

I think Japan-Korea did this in 2002. Anyway, to say the crowd average is just second best to 1994 is a joke. We get news practically everyday that matches are being played in front of 30k crowds or something like that, so it's hard to believe that kind of information from Jerome Valcke.

USA averaged about 69k fans per match, Germany well over 50k, so go figure...

Will support the theory of Italy's and France supporters buying the tickets advanced the group stage, only to be disappointed with the result.

Shame that FIFA does not give free tickets to school children to solve the problem.
