EURO 08 - Gergerger Gameplay

This is approach to a new EURO 08 gameplay.
I was the creator of a quite acclaimed PES gameplay tweak a few years ago, which brought the game one or two steps closer to reality. I tried to bring good and bad aspects of reality into the game. Hence, many of you will probably find this tedious or straight junk, while some of you may love it. All in all, this file works for me, so I figured it may also work for someone else.

ADJUSTED PACE:
More like international matches. Players hardly ever sprint, specially midfielders. International matches have -generally- a very slow pace.

DECREASED PASSING SPEED:
The ball no longer feels like a hockey disc.

DECREASED CPU FREE KICK ACCURACY:
CPU Players are "also human".

NO MORE CPU SOLO VERTICAL RUNS NEAR THE GOAL ZONE:
This bothered me a lot. Not that I could not stop them: It just wasn't realistic at all.

SLOWER "ATTACK-DEFENSE" TRANSITIONS:
No more 5 seconds attack-defence transitions. Build your attack, then build your defense, and so on.

HARDER TO PENETRATE DEFENSES:
The overall slower game speed plays in favour of this. Players find their defensive spots and strenght a lot better now, resulting in a more aware defensive midfield and a more solid defense line.

A FEELING THAT THE PITCH IS BIGGER:
No more end-to-end attacks. This is not air hockey.

CPU THINKS MORE 360ºLLY
When a CPU player is in trouble they will likely pass the ball backwards.

LEFT TO DO:
I only wish there was a way to bring more fouls into the game. If anyone knows about this, please tell me how to do it.

WORKS ONLY IN PRO DIFFICULTY MODE:
The PRO difficulty setting provided me the base gameplay pace I wanted. This means that this gameplay patch WORKS ONLY IN PRO DIFFICULTY MODE. I can't make an amateur difficulty setting for this patch (no one would play it anyway), and I can't make a world cup difficulty setting either (I intend my tweak to reflect reality, so no sense in creating a "harder than life" difficulty mode).

BACKUP YOUR INI.BIG FILE
I really don't want to mess your game, so backup your ini.big if you are to try this one.

INCLUDES A RECOMMENDED GAMEPLAY LENGHT
The file user.ini goes into the EURO 08 main directory. This file should not overwrite anything, unless you have a self created user.ini file in it. In that case, make a backup prior to trying the new file.

For the first time i see a patch gives what it promises, that's a great patch!

Ps: you seem to understand what football is about, maybe you can do something about the ball physics, the gravity, velocity...bye...

I'm SO glad it worked for someone else but me. I was starting to feel like I had completely wrong arguments and points of view.

Unfortunately I don't know that much about editing. Plus, I'm argentinian and -just to bring a example- I could never understand things like "QUANTIZE_ANALOG_PAD_ANGLE = 0" in a million years due to language limitations. I've been trying to search what we could call a "big.ini map", but there is none to date, not even for old fifa versions.

In any case, you can work on my file and give it a try yourself, and then share it with us.

I wouldn't know. EURO's ini.big has specific difficulty parameters that are nowhere to be found on FIFA 2008's ini.big.

Not only I don't have Fifa 2008 anymore, but also Fifa 2008 had a somewhat different ini.big file with the very first part (the most important one) missing.

That's what i'am talking about. The patch somehow has managed to solve that problem. Cpu passes now and that makes the game more realistic....

Hey buddy, I like the patch, just ony one problem,
During the penalty kicks, the defenders are all way back on the midfield and there are not outside the area, which emeans if the shooter misses, he can score anyway.
