If you can open the program, edit, and save without it crashing, then it has to be working. Has to be something else, something you're doing incorrectly.

I've a similar problem. I'm using DB 2012... I successfuly load the db file, made the changes (in my case i'm editing classic players skills and roles), save, start the game and...nothing changes. If i try to load the datbase once again it looks ok, cause it's the edited one but the are not changes in the game. I've used the key for w7 64 bit found in the forum, erase the squads files but nothing changed. Maybe you can help us both, that would be great !

Step-by-step testing is necessary when tracking down issues like this. My suggestion is you start with and edit something simple, then check in-game to see if your edits worked. Example: Load the db and export the Players table. Open up the exported table and edit Ryan Giggs' Curve rating and lower it to 1. Giggs ID is 241, near the top of the list. His Curve rating should be the first player rating you come to when you scroll thru his particulars. When done, import the table back into the db and save. Shut off DMB 12, then open it again, load the db, and check to make sure your edits in fact stuck. Now go into the game, go into Edit Player, find Man United, pull up Giggs, and check to see if his Curve rating was changed to 1. If his rating hasn't changed, then the issue is something else.

Okay, I'm not 100% sure, but I think you have to delete the original db files from your game, in order for the game to read your new edited db files. First, you do have a folder named "db" in your FIFA 13 / Game /data folder, correct? The two files in that folder have the same name as the two files you need to delete from your original, default game files. Did you delete them?

The two files in that folder have the same name as the two files you need to delete from your original, default game files. Did you delete them?

I didn't. I've just deleted the game but the game isn't starting anymore. No error window or whatever, it just doesn't start. Don't really know what's happening I'm taking a look at the main folder and it's full of crash dumps files...what the hell!

You mean you deleted the whole game, and plan to download and reinstall it again?

There are a couple of working copies of dbs that have been posted on a couple thread around here, with the db and loc files all extracted. You might want to try one of those and see if they work.

I don't have FIFA 13 so it's tough trying to get to the bottom of this. Looking in my FIFA 12 loc folder, I have all the various language files extracted there. Also, the loc folder contains the original locale.bin file; the original locale.ini file was removed. Is that what you see in your loc folder?

I assume you're checking each time before starting the game, making 100% sure the game didn't generate a default Squads save file. That does happen. And if there's a Squads file in your FIFA 13 documents folder, the game will load that file, and not the edited db.

Checked every time, no squads file in any fifa folders, even after i started the game.

Sorry my mistake, it's the locale.bin file that's missing from my FIFA 12 folder. Don't know if that makes any difference or not, I'm not familiar with what those files do.

EDIT. I've just use the fifa13 regenator that worked just fine, but nothing changed in-game...still no changes.

There won't be any new rinaldo tools this year I'm afraid. Your only option is to figure out how to get DMB 12 and FM 12 working. And they do both work with FIFA 13, so don't give up.
