Pandiani rumors are bullsh*t. Sure!

By the way, Pandiani has said that someone in Depor plays without training and even arriving drunk to training sesions. He has acussed someone but he hasn't said any name. What a wanker.

Knowing Pandiani is a forward maybe he was talking about Valeron, Luque or Tristan!

Don't Barca only have 2 major strikers in Eto'o and Maxi? Who else do you guys have (make it 3 if you sort of count Ronaldinho as a forward)

Walter Pandiani admits it would be "a dream" to play for Barcelona.

The Deportivo La Coruna striker is currently starring in England on-loan with Birmingham City, which have been locked in negotiations with his Spanish club over a permanent deal.

But Barca have also registered their interest and yesterday, Pandiani admitted: "It would be a dream to play for Barcelona, a dream that I cannot explain."

Birmingham co-owner David Sullivan insisted yesterday that talks with Depor were progressing smoothly and that he was confident Pandiani would be at St Andrews next season.

IMO :(, i hope his dream was to play for Birmingham lol.

Primera División leaders FC Barcelona will be missing captain Carles Puyol for up to three weeks, ruling him out of the trip to Real Madrid CF on 10 April. The 26-year-old Spanish international limped out of Wednesday's FIFA World Cup qualifier in Serbia and Montenegro with an injured left ankle, and tests have subsequently revealed ligament damage.

Sorry if you already know it :junior:.

3 weeks is the standard for that injury. Give Puyol 10 days and he'll be ok. He wanted to test his ankle today because he wants to play against Betis haha (H)

 Captain Puyol

Speaking of which, Ronaldinho will be our captain tommorow. I doubt Puyol will play. It is Puyol, but still...
And I wouldn't even wanna risk him.

Everyone seems to think that the Betis match is the one we need to win to secure the title. Gerard, Eto'o and Deco said so on the official site. If that's their view, I guess that's pretty much the general opinion in the locker room.

(H) Heh, Puyol

LOL. Madrid want to sign him. :funny: (N) :kader:
Luxemburgo is a moron. Even if they are stupid enough to pay 180M, they could never convince Puyol to join them. It's a shame really. They always try to sign our players. Just shows how pathetic and sad Real Madrid is.

Reinforcements called in for Betis match

Messi, Damià and Rodri have been called in as replacements for Albertini, Puyol and Márquez. Ronaldinho rejoined his colleagues this morning and has trained as normal.

Injuries to Puyol and Albertini, plus Rafa Márquez's suspension have forced Frank Rijkaard to turn to the reserve team in order to field a full squad for Sunday's game with Betis. Messi, Damià and Rodri were the three players named in the squad announced this afternoon. Rodri usually plays at centre back, so Rijkaard is clearly thinking about extra cover in the centre of defence, where Sylvinho and Fernando Navarro will probably start.

New injuries

Albertini is not expected to be out for long, and may even be available for the trip to Madrid. The Italian pulled a muscle in his right leg on Tuesday, but should only take a week or so to recover. Meanwhile, Mexican Rafa Márquez has a one-match suspension to serve after being given his marching orders in Barça's last league fixture, at Deportivo.

Carles Puyol, of course, picked up a sprain on international duty in Serbia and could be out for two or three weeks, so it is looking highly unlikely that he will be able to captain the side at the Bernabeu on April 10.

The full squad

The 18 players named for Sunday's match at home to Betis are as follows: Valdés, Belletti, Xavi, Giuly, Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Maxi, Gio, Gerard, Sylvinho, Fernando Navarro, Deco, Oleguer, Iniesta, Jorquera, Damià, Messi and Rodri.

Eto'o gets award

This morning Samuel Eto'o received his 'Lion d'Or' trophy for the best African player of 2004. The prize is awarded each year by Morocco's biggest sports weekly, Almountakhab. The Cameroon international was also named African player of the year by the Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF).

Ronaldinho rejoins the team

The Brazilian star arrived back in Barcelona late on Friday, and resumed normal training with his teammates this morning. The Brazilian, along with Rafa Márquez, is the last player to report back to the club after being away on international duty.

(Y) I'm looking forward to the Betis game !!! :D

Stupid madrid are embarrising themselves. Puyol's heart is in the figure of Barcelona's logo. That's like asking Casillas to come to us.

It's just BS from AS.com

Barça didn't want to negotiate with Milan, Juve or Chelsea but they say that Laporta would negotiate with Florentino.. and still better, they say Puyol would push to go to Real Madrid, hoho

It's an insult to the intelligence..

Fernando Navarro is the substitute for the CB.

Also remember that Xavi and Deco have got 4 yellow cards. If they receive another yellow card, they won't play at Bernabeu..

C'mon! Equalise!

I just heard on the TV that handball club Zagreb had agreed to move their CWC match against Vardar 45 minutes back, so they'll actually be starting the match at 17:15, which will enable the television network to broadcast Real - Barca.
