FT 1-1

I expected something like this. Albertini sucks, he's been the worst player the three games he's played, I don't understand why Rijkaard plays him over Gerard. Today Rijkaard was wrong from the start. Let's hope the injuries are not any serious.

BTW Luque 1-0

Go Depor.

El Merengue Argentino
This game was annoying because it was hard to see Barca's players and the ball.

I fell asleep in the first half, how did Marquez score?

Cheers,

On other matters, Coach Joan Montes handed in his resignation this Sunday, and it has been accepted FC Barcelona. Manolo Flores, the club's basketball director, will step in as coach until the end of this season.

Tomorrow we play the derby against Espanyol. They'll play without De la Peña, their most important player with Tamudo. Espanyol have not won in Camp Nou since 1983. It's snowing in Barcelona but the field will be ok.

This season is being awful for the basketball team.

I don't expect it to change until nexts season. Last summer planification was terrible, and the team is missing players in some positions. I don't know who to blame for that: Svetislav Pesic or the board but it was terrible.

Besides some key players have been (are) injured. (Dueñas and Gasol e.g) and the players recently signed, Davids and Zizic, haven't solved the problem.

anyway I'm not really into basketball.

While Rijkaard and his men prepare for the Derby agains't Racing Club de Espanyol, Ronaldinho might be out with the Flu.

=============================================

Ronaldinho did not train on Monday after going down with a bout of flu. The Brazilian playmaker stayed at home and it will only be known if he can play against Espanyol when he arrives at Camp Nou on Tuesday morning.

The club's medical services explained that he was told to stay at home and rest. "He has flu symptoms and is receiving treatment," a statement read. Ronaldinho will report to Camp Nou on Tuesday and a decision will be taken then on whether he can play in the match later that evening.

Belletti and Guily, with inconveniences

The major doubt for the Derby encounter if Juliano Belletti after his awkward fall in the game against Numancia on Saturday. The defender did not train on Sunday or Monday and has, instead, undergone a special course of physiotherapy. "He has a bruised lower back, but things are prograssing well," a club doctor explained, adding that the Brazilian is still feeling some pain. The medical staff will also make a decision about Belletti depending on how he is on Tuesday.

Ludovic Giuly trained with the rest of the squad, despite limping out of the action after picking up a knock to his back in the icy game in Numancia. Although the French midfielder came through the session he reported some pain in the region. "He will undergo further physiotherapy," the medical staff explained.

It seems that in Real Madrid and FC Barcelona when the football section is going well, the basketball team sucks, and the opposite. When Gaspart left the presidence Barça won the treble in basket and Madrid were in a big crisis. Now our basketball team is very very irregular and Real Madrid are dominating.

The biggest mistake of Laporta as president was to call Valero Rivera director of all the sections except football. Pesic resigned because of that and Valero Rivera resigned a couple of weeks later. Also Jasikevicius should have never gone. Now the basketball section is a disaster.

Basketball is not my favorite sport anyway.. I just see the results and some matches.

It's not for nothing the logo says Futbol Club Barcelona... ;)

For now I just want a win over Espanyol and I'd love to see Madrid lose tomorrow against Betis...
