FA Cup Final: Chelsea v Man Utd [P & R]

Reserve Team
Truthfully Man U has been exposed several times this year by respectable teams. Ferguson has a job to do over the summer as this team is good, but still has some major weaknesses.

edit: wow, Rooney, its really funny that with Robben, Drogba, and C. Ronaldo on the pitch, hes been diving the most, what a retard.

You need to recheck the dictionary for definition of diving or look at Drogba at the very least.

Can't complain too much, ever since the second half started, the game was ours in the bag. Chelsea was no where to be seen and that Giggs miss was really a killer blow. A player like Ryan should be putting those away 10 times out of 10 and even though he was under a bit of pressure from Essien, its really not an excuse to miskick the ball like that, then push Cech into the net and ask for a goal.

I disagree. It wasn't ours because we didn't push Chelsea to the limit. Wasn't a performance to behold.

We pushed them enough to get 3-4 goals and if not for some really desperate tackling from Essien we would have won it easily. Rooney has been taking on 2-3 players succesfully the whole afternoon.

It wasn't like two years, when there was only one team in it. Overall United were on top, but Chelsea were dangerous and always capable of getting the odd goal to clinch it, which obviously in the end happened.

Thought Scholes was very good (relatively speaking of course), Ronaldo however went missing pretty much once again, and Heinze is an accident waiting to happen for several matches!

Scholes' chips have been his best ever today, shame no one capitalised on them. I thought Ronaldo did really well, counting from what he had to work with today. He always had 2 players with him with one of them being Makelele and Claude is never scared of putting in a tackle, so it was either risk giving up the ball or keep it.

Rooney was the biggest threat though, no doubt. Essien was struggling with him.

**** game by both teams frankly, it was always only going to be one goal in it. both teams looked very tired froma long hard season, but hey yeah we lost the fa cup but to hell with it we still won the best domestic trophy!

If this loss means Mourinho stays in the EPL then i'm all up for it. I'd rather have his arrogant ass, rather than someone boring like Cappello or Hiddink.

i dont quite see how we were exposed today... (:/)

All i'm going to say is we had some good chances which we just didn't capitalise on. You can making pently of excuses, such as giggs ball goin over the line, the freekick on mikel leading upto the goal was no where near a freekick, but at the end of the day the reason we weren't the same team as the rest of the season as we went negative again.

ps. Nice to see the true chelsea in the last 3 minutes, cheating, diving, kicking the ball away/pretending not to see it when they had set pieces, hacking players down when they were past them. 3 yellow cards weren't really justice, but theres nothing else than can be done. Class :)(Y)

Not really. Why would we say so anyway? The match wasn't a good one overall. We were slightly better though but there were no controversial decisions.

I don't like it. The fans sitting at the opposite stand can barely see what's going on and the real people that gain something are all those businessmen, not the true fans. And obviously there is not enough space for the whole team to stand near the trophy when its grabbed by their captain.

I was always afraid that if United didn't take their chances when they had them, they would lose the match. And if Chelsea got one, they would take it straight away. And thats what happened.

Giggs was a massive disappointment.:nape:

The game turned out just the way i predicted (exept the scoreline),not a stunning performance from non of the team's.first half was one of the most boring i have seen this year.
When it went to extra time i just calmed down and realized that it would not go our way.half of our squad was limping and had trouble with tiredness at the end.
well done Chelsea, see you next season
Atleast the premiership trophy is back where it belong!!
