Anyone using blender for face editing please help!

I'm using blender to work on faces BUT I get no objects for face and/or hair .fif files. (it's the F00-0x that allows you to select different parts of the face like eyes nose mouth cheeks e.t.c. ) I have NONE! It's driving me crazy I tried different faces, original faces. Nothing! Am I missing a plugin? Is there a special template that allows you to select individual face parts?? PLEASE HELP IT's DRIVING ME INSANE!!!!!
