You might be unaware of the fact that back when FIFA 19 and FIFA 20 came out, and people started to post Mods behind a paywall or use non-direct download links that would generate some money for them, I was in favor of that, I thought it was time for people to be able to get retribution for their work.
In fact, I allowed it to happen.

Not only 90% of the Forum was completely against it but they were literally fighting everyday in here, insulting each other and many of them were leaving SoccerGaming because of that. It was complete chaos.

But also, the remaining 10% of the Forum were only sharing screenshots of their work and saying "if you want to download it, join my Discord" or "Subscribe to [Insert A Paid Site Here]". Modders were using Soccergaming to get their own communities growing and getting money in the meantime.

So I decided to change the rules and listen to the vast majority that did not want it to be this way.

Also, let me point out just how hypocritical your POV is: You all sign-up to SoccerGaming FOR FREE. You use your accounts FOR FREE. You create threads FOR FREE. And yet.... you want to earn money off of a site that doesn't cost you anything while I pay for the server/hosting/etc?. - Stop and think about that for just a moment.

There are plenty of paid mods and modders out there and other communities that will let you join if you pay for their content. But I want SoccerGaming to remain as pure as it can be.

That's why I allow your PayPals (or other DONATION-BASED SITES) to be shared and if people willingly want to donate, that's OK. But Mods must be shared for free.

I can't please everybody. There will always be people who complain about one decision or the other. That's how human beings are.

So... now the rules are very clear: Either you agree with them and follow them.
Or those who disagree with the rules are completely free to leave.

If you disagree with the rules, go ahead and create your own forum, set your own rules and see if it will be as easy as you think it is.

But don't try to start a new revolution here because it will result in Threads getting closed/deleted and accounts being permanently banned.

I'm trying to maintain peace in here, and that cannot happen unless rules are very clear. Like in every single community around the world.
Your words really make sense. The site owner is supposed to make money
For the members, whoever is looking for money has to go to work in real life
Either this is just a virtual life that can disappear at any time or cease to exist
As for me, I make my money with the sweat of my brow, and I do not like to take a single penny from websites
Modifying FIFA is just a hobby that I added alongside sports
I wish everyone success.

I understand your point of view but I think some rules should be flexible, the world changes all the time and some things tend to be like that.

When Rale and Flavinho place paid advertisements, it was never to make their community grow using soccergaming, it was always to obtain the desired file.

And about the language, we know that English and Spanish are the 2 most spoken languages in the world, the site should be more inclusive, only English is bizarre. The world cannot be monopolized.

Some rules have to be changed, before was a rule for women not to work and vote.

Nowadays we all understand a little English and Spanish.

Only a few people understand any language other than these 2 well.

Here we have Jeff breaking yet another rule. Posting in non-English languages in 3 posts in a row.

What should I do, guys? Honestly.

If I ban him, then I'm the bad guy. Although the rules are very clear and everybody can read them. In fact, there's a huge message box pinned at the top of the forum that forces you to see it every time you come in to SoccerGaming.

Jeff doesn't seem to think rules apply to him.

Honestly... what should I do?-

to be honest, for me writing in Spanish on English-only forum is more frustrating than ref links, because I have no idea what are you talking about
I encourage to use DeepL

I also think it's right to only use English. I understand Spanish because it is a similar language to Italian. But I have also been an administrator and moderator of a forum and as a moderator and administrator I must be able to intervene in diatribes or issues by understanding what is written and not using translators who can also make errors of interpretation. If a staff, if those who manage the forum, speak English and rightly there is that rule. Or do you need to have a CV and a degree in foreign languages to be able to administer a forum? Only English all the life. A post in your native language can escape, nothing happens. But in the long run it would all become unsustainable.

Jeff has been banned for one week.
I'm tired of Jeff breaking the rules and doing whatever he wants, like rules don't apply to him.
I gave him the chance to do it right and he practically laughed at me, more than once.

Those who disagree with the rules are free to leave SG.
