Argentina does not pay his wages but a player who has passion for the game would try his best for his national team. Football is not only about money (and stolen tax money), it is about hunger to win and passion too.

I have mainly seen him play for the World Cup for Argentina (I watch most WC games) and I have never seen him "carrying the NT" at the most prestigious national tournament except against lesser teams in the group stage. He was invisible when it mattered most in the last World Cup. He "saved" Argentina against Nigeria though.

The midget, tattoos, tax arguments are mainly to poke fun at him and to irritate you Barcelona fans btw. Jokes aside, I still don't think he is an exemplary or inspirational leader. He is far from that.

As much as you hate them, City has one of the best academies in the world. They copied the Ajax/Barça model, obviously will take time.

Their academy has a fancy name to make it look cool and that's it. They have been playing for 5 years now and its enough time to see what this system can do. No one gives a shit about the "elite" team because no one will get to play in the first team anyway. Last season they finished 5th in the league.

I am not saying it is mediocre but its not significantly better than any other EPL academies, just has a fancy name. In 5 years they have not proven shit (yet). Maybe they will and we will see but I don't think it will be anything special.
