I am very jealous of you guys right now, I wanted Villa to come to United so badly, and for only 34 million at that, what a steal...as has been said already, Valencia probably could've gotten much more than that from Madrid or City.

What is your lineup going to look like if you sign Cesc also?

The thing with these new players, when we're talking that it's hard to bench some of these great players. While that is true, it's also highly unlikely that we'll have as injury-free a season next year as we did this year. There were no long-term injuries whatsoever in the front. Now, we have depth in our squad - 3 good options for the striker position, 4-5 possibilities for the wings and 5-6 players for the midfield.

Either way, I just don't like this signing at all. Pedro has a long career ahead of him, and it's not like Messi, Zlatan, and Bojan are undeserving of playing time. Villa is a decent enough player, but I just don't like the signing. I think they should just stick with Pedro instead of screwing around with big name signings who could screw up the team's chemistry. And isn't he a short player? Tiny central forwards just don't make any sense IMO. If you're in a 4-4-2, okay fine, but not in a 4-3-3 with wingers.

But Eto'o wasn't tall at all and he scored plenty of goals in Barça's shirt. I must force my memory to remember more than 2-3 goals scored with his head...

I agree with that. This signing will block the way to talents like Bojan and Pedro. That's why I think they need to sell Zlatan. With Zlatan and Villa at the CF position, Bojan will rarely get the chance to play.

Even if Txiki or any other person in the world said Ibra will stay next season, I still think he'll leave. Don't tell me that if City or Chelsea (the most used teams in the press) will give Barça 40-50 mil, they won't sell Ibra.

I agree that if Ibra stays with Villa, they'll block the chance of Bojan to play in this team. The guy is amazingly talented and he showed in the end of La Liga that he deserves to be in the first Barça team.

Even if they said Ibra will stay, if they receive an offer for him, it's easy to say the classic thing: "We thought this is the best thing for both player and the club."

What make you guys think Pedro will be benched? Guardiola don't have problems to bench a top star like Ibrahimovic, prove it in the last matches, were we fight for the league with Bojan as starter in Villarreal and Sevilla stadiums. Or when he rather Jeffren than Henry in a CL semifinal.

Yes he can bench a star like Ibrahimovic but that can cause a lot of problems in the squad.

I think it's better to sell Ibra for both economic and football. We paid almost 100 mil for Ibra and Villa. It's hard to think one of them will be mostly kept on the bench next season...

Assuming Fabregas is coming, then he will. TBH I don't think you guys need Fabregas... You guys have Xavi and Iniesta already! I think Villa is a good move for you guys but Zlatan should be sold in that case. Isn't that a good squad already? Why Fabregas?

If you guys need a new player, I think you rather need a DM than Fabregas. If Toure is on his way out, he needs to be replaced. I'm not a big fan of Busquets TBH.

just check that i found in sport last monday: Touré vs Busquets, Recovered balls T 1 every 20 minutes, B 1 every 14 minutos, Losted balls T 1 every 20 minutes, B 1 every 12 minutes, Faults T 1 every 64 minutes, B 1 every 27 minutes, Recived faults T 1 every 46 minutes, B 1 every 50 minutes, complete passes T 81% B 92%.

Seems to me Busi and Toure are pretty close. How is Toure not a DM???

Our midfield definately moves the ball better with Busi ancoring them.

I never said Keita was, but if we get Cesc by selling Toure, I figure Pep will play him there a bit more as cover for Busi or to rest him. Keita is a mix between CM and DM, not espectacular at either position, but he is good at both. I think we play him there during preseason when he first came to the team.

BTW, I think Pep is gonna play around with what he has, he has a big imagination. Suprised me with his lineup at the Bernabeu. I think we are gonna have a versatile attack with 2 good forwards, being able to play them differently.

For us, its much more important a genuine player like Cesc (there only Xavi and Iniesta like him in the world) than a DM. Busi and even Keita can make it. Xavi will be 31 next season, maybe can't play 51 matches in a season again.

Busi and Keita can cover DM. Busi would start DM anywhere in the world.
