David Villa spoke to Barca TV and www.fcbarcelona.cat about his pride in joining the club and his hopes for this new stage in his career and told us: “I’m coming in the best form of my career”.

Do you guys really think so? For me David Villa was in his best form in 07/08 - EURO 2008 - 08/09. That was his best form of his career.

I can't wait to see how his transfer is turning out to be. And I hope it turns better than Ibra's. If he scored 21 goals in valencia last season, why wouldn't he score 25+ in a team with Xavi, Iniesta, Cesc(?!), Messi, Ibra, Pedro? :D

disagree, 07/08 was his worst season, a lot of injurys, a sector in spain even bother because he was called instead Raúl for the eurocup.

06/07 it was when he and morientes were on fire! Should have beaten Chelsea to the semi-finals of that Champs league that year, but Essien scored a last gasp goal.

great to see transfer talk of Javi Martínez to Barça in Spanish reports ... I said in the Spanish national team thread that I wanted to see him at Barça, and I'm glad the possibility is being talked about, even if it is only in the papers (no smoke without a fire, etc.) ...
